Just got through playing Rise of Nations, a skirmish between me (as the Chinese) and the computer (an utterly hapless even on high difficulty Egyptian outfit.)

It got me thinking---the only reason I still play Rise of Nations is because I'm trying to top the benchmarks I set for myself---fastest tech run to Info Age, highest score, quickest trip through the Conquer the World Campaign. I've beaten Railroad Tycoon 2 into the ground but still love it, I'm the big fish in a small pond at Total War, and I once had a game save in Capitalism II where my character was a trillionaire and had enough cash in his personal bank account to fund this bailout the US is talking about out of his own pocket and still be the richest man alive.

I've built Tropico islands with over a thousand inhabitants, been to Alpha Centauri in Civ 2 more times than I can count (and transcended, cornered the energy market, and outright conquered Alpha Centauri itself in its eponymous game even more times), beaten Final Fantasy VI into the ground, and smoked countless other games in the 26 years since I first picked up the hobby as a restless five-year-old.

So join me in this delicious sack dance in gaming's end zone. Count the dead, stand over the fallen, climb a mountain of skulls, plant your flag, and say "I've beaten this game and I have beaten it to DEATH!"

Final Fantasy X.

I got all the ultimate weapons, made ultimate armors for each person, maxed out my sphere grid, beat all the arena bosses many many many times.

I've basically kicked its teeth in.

This is going to bring shame to me and my entire family for all time but the game I've beaten hardest is...

Princess Maker II

I can every ending no problem, max out stats in the nick of time and know about little quirks and rewards and easter eggs that the game guides you'll find for it don't know about.

In my defence, i played it with my girlfriend as an activity to do together.

Resident Evil 4

Completed the game, did a speedrun, did a 100% run, did a 100% speedrun, and just went to see my limit with every crazy run I could think of.(Chicago Typewriter 100% speedrun is always fun, fast firing weapon and not allowed to miss a single shot while trying to kill everything, collect every treasure and go through the game as fast as possible)

not sure if this counts but i've got a boxing game on my Nokia phone and i know how to beat every player (each one has a specific way to be beaten). I'm currently doing an endurance mode where the game never ends and have won over 720 fights in a row and nearly every one in the first round.

To be fair i only play it when i'm taking a dump or bored. Been playing it for the last year or so nearly every day doing about 3 fights at a time.

Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn + expansion
Front to back, left to right with a wizard, a fighter, a ranger, a thief, a monk, an archer, a shapeshifter, good and evil. Crafted every weapon, explored every nook and cranny and completed every quest, most in multiple ways.

I especially loved creating off kilter parties.

Ratchet and Clank 2. Still my favorite game of all time. I delete my save periodically just so I can beat it again, to 100% in challange mode, every weapon to Ultra, skill point, platinum bolt, ship upgrade and so on.

It's been more loved to death than anything.

GoldenEye 007. I've beaten that game that game and wasted the challenge times so many times it's not funny anymore. And to think of all the hours I wasted. I still pop it in, turn the enemy accuracy up to 100% and health down to 1% and play through it once in a while. Soldier of Fortune II comes to mind as well, I'm going to go through it a third time on Soldier of Fortune difficulty with no saves using the weapons mod that makes weapons do real life damage. Get hit in the head with a 7.62 NATO from an M60 and you're dead instantly. And Doom, play Alien Vendetta on Ultra Violence and have fun. Nothing like giving a Baron of Hell a face full of knuckle dusters ala Mike Tyson to give you a fuzzy feeling inside. Yes I like first person shooters.

I have a group of lvl99 in ever Suikoden game. Take that!
(Don't know what Wild ARMS lvl limit is, but for Suikoden, any fight after 60 grants you around 1/999 exp. Exp to lvl is fixed, but amount received is different--think of it as percentage.) My character was so overpowered, I downed the final boss in Suikoden2 barely taking damage, owned unwinnable fights in 3, didn't even watch the screen while fighting final boss in 4 (repeatedly hit x), and use the berserk rune through 5 (meaning I didn't even control my character).
And Lunar..oh God. I set the party on autocommand, went to dinner, came back just in time to see the boss die.
I level grind THAT badly.

Tetris...
Ok there is still some chalenge left to top but i have reached level 19 on the Game Boy and there it's just impossible to get stones to the far left or right, not limited by your reaction time but by the time the gameboy needs to move the pice...

Also all Games of the Gothic series just lie on the ground bevor my mighty unnamed Heroes who took every possible way to master all the quests.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivian. I think I've done like 99% of the missions, collected all of the deadric artifacts, mastered every guild, saved Cyrodill, Ended the greymarch. And now all I can do with my main character is continuously attack/kill the prophet in the street while the guards just stare at me

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Not only did I beat the game on Crushing mode (which is a prolonged kick in the face) more times than I can remember, I collected all 61 treasures, mastered the use of grenades, knew exactly where each enemy would come out from, and I played through as each of the character models. Then the PS3 trophies patch came out and I hated myself for being an Uncharted completionist.

Morrowind. At one point I buffed myself to the point that attacking anyone would crash the game.

Battlefield: Bad Company. Oh yeah, I'll explore this area after I blow up this annoying helicopter... Oh wait.. That was the final boss?

i did about every level on legendary sleeping, even went so far to just clear it with only using my bare fist(plasma pistol melee attack), leaving out the flying parts ofc.

Viconia vs Aerie: FIGHT!

Ahh good times. As much as I disliked Aerie, it was totally worth keeping her around just to listen to her and Viconia bitch at each other. :D

Lesse, I ran Chrono Trigger into the ground pretty hard. Level 99, all the ultimate loot, etc. etc. It was fun beating the tar out of Lavos with just Chrono. I've played through Mechwarrior 4 more times than I can count. I was able to get basically everything mapped onto my X52 HOTAS and pro flight rudders nx using this setup to control the mech adds a crazy new level of immersion. I highly recommend everyone tries it out.

FF7, I maxxed out the clock, got every materia, mastered summons, beat the weapons, got all the ultimate weapons... I got to the point where my characters were actually invincible and I beat all of Sephiroth's forms in a single hit.

Got 100% on GTA: Vice City twice, on PS2 and PC. Can get enough carnage going on 6 stars that I can reliably crash most PS2s; great gag when you casually lean over to a friend and ask innocently, "Mind if I have a go?"

Final Fantasy VII & VIII. I honestly would save before every convosation decision just so I could then pick the other answer and see what changed. In VIII I even completed that damn card game. Would not stop till I had every last card.

Transport Tycoon Deluxe - I've reached Tycoon status and finished the game a couple of times, completely running my competitors into the ground. Often they end up making such a loss I have to buy them out and then liquidate them - new competitors then start up, and I do the same to them. I've ended up with so much money that I crash the game. Doesn't happen on OpenTTD though, they've fixed a lot of stuff.

I also spent way, way too much time on Dance Dance Revolution. I wouldn't say I beat it into the ground as much as some people, but I was able to pass every song on DDR Extreme, including Paranoia Survivor Max Oni.

Alpha Centauri. It's funny how everyone is quick to declare war when you drop a nuke on them, but after you've dropped your 18th nuke, they're willing to negotiate.

Lost Odyssey - I spent so much time doing side quests, leveling my immortals and teaching them all to absorb every element that by the time I got to the final boss he couldn't touch me. I think I took damage once, and it was very little. Quite sad really.

Halo: CE - Beaten it on legendary more times than I care to remember, went through the whole game using nothing but the plasma pistol (AKA The Best Gun Ever)

Fable - Oh where to begin...Speed runs (Fastest time was about three hours) Complete runs (All silver chests opened, all legendary weapons acquired, all demon doors opened, all armor owned, all purchasable property owned) and I've beaten it out of boredom more times than I can count.

Final Fantasy X - Don't get me started...Suffice to say everything was maxed out...EVERYTHING
