The one time my 360 broke I sent it off and it was back in a week.
Same here, I might need to send it again too. Stupid RRoD. Also I live in Illinois.
It took mine 6 weeks to get back, but it took a friend of mine 1 week. So let the dice roll!
Were can you go to get your 360 fixed?
Do you know what country it was sent off to?
good luck dude. | |
happened to a friend took a month
You ring up microsoft and they ask you to do afew things to see if it can be fixxed without being sent off. But if it needs to be sent off they can send you an e-mail contaning the posting adrees thing or they can send out a currier to pick it up. Here is the number 0800 587 1102 (uk number look up the website for differnet countries)
Stayed in England, went to leeds aparently.
Takes 1-2 weeks from what I hear.
Well I live in northern ireland and its going off to germany. GOD DAMN GERMANY.....At least I know they will get it completely fixed cos germans put 100% into whatever they do. And for those who dont know Fable 2 is coming out on the 21-10-08, Fallout 28-10-08 and gears of war 2 07-11-08 (dd-mm-yy)
Get them all at the same time and have a marathon. Thinking about doing that with the games I'm looking at. Whereabouts in NI are you from? Chance you might have an awesome accent.
Im from Ballymoney, I dont know if I have a cool accent but most folk say I do, My gamertag is Caboose966 so add me and when I get my xbox back u can find out for urself sham.
Will do. My one is Soda Dreamer, chances are you'll forget and think who the fuck is this guy when you get your xbox though. Also, is it me or does the online repair service thing not work correctly in the UK?
Trust me I wont forget you mate, sure add me now and I can go on the xbox website and add you there. And this is my first repair so idk. Btw im sorta tryin ta use me accent abit here ya know lol.
Sent my xbox in a year ago... came back in 2 weeks. Also, the american number is 1-800-4-MY-XBOX.
I sent mine in about 2 weeks ago it's being repaired now according to that number, who knows when I'll get it back
honestly man microsoft is super effecient on this now. I sent my box off and got it back almost a month to the day about a year ago. My buddy like 2 months ago sent his off and got it back in 2 weeks. You will prob. be fine dont buy all the neg. press just hope and pray my freind hope and pray
I'am in the UK and it took 4 weeks....
If it's not back in time consider suicide as an alternative. (I joke)
Took about two weeks both times mine broke down. (not RROD strangely enough, which meant the extended warranty didn't apply, I was pissed, as I was only about a week over the original warranty)
Ha, my xbox works like a charm. I hope I never have to send it away. I'll be quite upset if I do :(
My 360 has been going strong for two years. I am worried for it.
If You take your Xbox to the place of purchase and have the reciept they normally will swap it for you. i've done this at game in the uk three times now although they have changed there policy lately and wont let you keep the harddrive although i argued with the guy on the desk telling him he wasn't getting my 160 hours of oblivion saves in the end he saw my point and let me keep the harddrive. why xbox dont endorse this policy i'll never know its a total joke having to go without it for weeks when you guys are still probably paying your live subscription that your not using. get it sorted Bill.
Last time I sent my Xbox to be repaired I got 1 month free Live so they kinda make up for it. Mine has just broken again the other day, getting picked up on Monday and sent to Germany! Oh and The Iron Ninja, you should have taken it back to where you bought it, you could argue that its not fit for purpose and that the amount of money spent on the item, you would expect to last more than just past it's garrentee(SP?) if not get in contact with trading standards, though not sure if this is applicable to you as it's a British loophole.
when my 360 broke it took 3 long months befor I finaly got it back.
Did I happen to buy the only good first gen 360?
Mine has been faithful and not had a single problem for two and a half years. Touch wood *touches some wood* (not that kind of wood!).
I live in canada and mine broke once, and it only took one week. Now it wont sense wireless controllers or headsets, though it does run normally.
If I get my Xbox back and it won't detect wireless controllers, I will be yelling at some asian telephone guy at Microsoft's phone answering service in Dubai SOOOO fucking fast, lol
Give it time... all good things must come to an end.
I have no idea for where you live. For me, living in New York, it takes a month to get to Texas, fixed, and back. But I assume things will be quicker for you. Not so much ground to cover.
It really doesn't matter where you live too much, I live in Texas and mine was sent to Washington.
Really depends. I have sent mine off a good few times, sometimes it was back in a week or so. But I had to wait over a month at one point. If you're lucky it should be back in time, but I wouldn't put money on it.

My Xbox has just been sent off to get fixed today because of hardware problems. I was just wandering how long it will take for it to get back to me and will it be in time for fable 2, fallout 3 and gears of war 2, my three must wanded games of this year?
