I'm looking to replace the 40GB HDD that came installed in my PS3 with something larger, since I"m running out of space. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good, affordable HDD?
(2.5 inches, 5400 RPM)

Here you go man.

Newegg is the BOMB! They will hook you up with good hardware at great prices.

And forget 5400. 7200 RPM is totally affordable.

Ah, it is affordable, but from what I"ve read, 7200 RPM will lower the PS3's performance, and raise its energy consumption/noise, unsure if that's true though. And thanks. =D

Here is an article on it if you want to read it.

I guess time gains were little for them, but I have noticed a difference personally. And yes, it does take a little more electricity to run it, but that is really negligible.

And your welcome. :)
