God damnit, the end of my shift can't come fast enough. I may just download this and save it for posterity. Though the fact that they ripped off Milia Rage from Guilty Gear kinda irks me. |

Err...The Japanese culturally treated women pretty damn strangely before World War 2. User was banned for: Microsoft and the World Domination of Gaming&Communication. (Permanent) |

The japanese have always had mixed messages when it came to women, yes. Originally women were considered equal to men, but as time went on the focus on the MALE Samurai became greater and the society became more male centric. Also, interestingly enough, their attitudes about things like prostitution are very different from ours- in Ancient Japan, prostitutes were considered 'angels of mercy', who gave men relief. And I only bring this up because Bayonetta is clearly dressed like a hooker. |

Maybe it's just me, cause I really dig the battle system placed in DMC (I am yet to play a Ninja Gaiden game). Still practicing Jump Canceling on a keyboard. |

It is inexplicable. To ask that is akin to asking what the meaning of life is. It is Japanese and to truly understand such a thing one needs to know the subtleties of Japanese culture. It is something us Westerners will most likely never really achieve considering the complexity of it all. I guess if one has an Anthropology degree specializing in Asian/Japanese culture one could get close to it. Or living there for a couple of decades would work too I guess. |

That's a fairly comprehensive explanation for a bizzare game trailer. I still think it's crap, though. No offence. |

Either way a win/win in my book. |

... She's fighting Angels. Despite the freaky trailer, back when we only had descriptions of the game, I was following it. Also, apparantly, it does play well... if you can ignore the weirdness. There is one thing that this game, if it works, will have over DMC. The stylish meter, in this game, is supposed to, if you get it high enough, unlock special attacks for the durationn you have the meter that high (like the big hair-beast).
