Ya we all know where the Candidates stand on the War, Health Care ect, but will they proceed to make all games like Ultra Cuddly Bunnies 8 or will they let the gates open and give us Super Zombie Blood Murder 12?

......... do you realize how stupid you sound right now.....

neither, cause if that's on their agenda they shouldn't be wasting our time running for president.

Wow. Way to be a prick about a fun little thread.

Anyways, out of those two, I would guess Obama, but I don't really know. As for the rest of the candidates, maybe McKinney? While she doesn't seem to be the type to be for it, she doesn't seem to be somebody who would put out a call to arms against GTA.

McCain wants to ban violent video games and Obama wants the parents to be more involved in what the children play.

So

McCain - BAN THE FUCKERS!
Obama - Get the parents involved.

Does that answer it?

And Hillary Clinton got that ESRB shit going so we can all be thankfull she's out of the race.

obama because i don't see him enacting quite as many anti-game initiatives as the big MC

He might also inspire more diversity in game storylines and styles. Haha, fat bloody chance.

Bingo. McCain and Obama may not care, but Biden does.

Yeah but in the wrong way. He only cares about big business interests like the RIAA. He's also against internet privacy and encryption. That means more DRM, more SECUROM, more nickel-and-diming, and less rights for the user.

That's what I meant. Sorry for being unclear.

Eh, depends on their censorship stance. I don't even think they get a say in it.

I heard Obama played pong. Check "The News Room".

This thread seems awfully pointless, I'll toss a vote and say Obama. I still think that McCain's campain slogan should be "Ah McCain, you've done it again."

I prefer Obama's view on video games. As mentioned, he is more into "pro-educating the parents." He doesn't want to see violent games banned; he rather see parents become more aware of what their children are doing. At most I would expect to see Obama push a new campaign to raise awareness of the ESRB.

In any case, I doubt either candidate would touch the issue of video games in their term. There is entirely too much other shit going on. Frankly, if either of them try to bitch and moan about video games, I say we should protest for them to get impeached for not focusing on what matters. You know, it isn't like our economy is completely fucked over, nor are there any wars going on. That takes top priority; violent video games are a trivial matter to begin with, even more so when you have so many other problems with the country. I think the whole country would generally agree. We rather see something done about our failing economy than video game legislation that, at the end of the day, is usually deemed unconstitutional anyway.

Yeah. But McCain actually fought in vietnam. That's like a game. Right?

I honestly don't care.

Possibly because it's not my country.
