In what is perhaps the most shining example of obsession and geekiness I have ever seen, a fella by the name of Bradster has 36 World of WarCraft accounts that he plays on 11 computers simultaneously. He mainly seems to be doing it because he doesn't like to rely on so many other people to get a raid going, which includes attacking the Alliance capital cities, and on that front I can totally see where he's coming from.

I hate those Alliance douchebags too, but I'm not about to drop $5711 per year like Bradster is. The best way to get to them is to just live well, right? Well, Bradster doesn't appear to be letting the Alliance off the hook so easily, as he plans on picking up 36 copies of Wrath of the Lich King on day one, spending around $1500, just so he can have a raid group of level 80 Shamans terrorizing Stormwind as soon as possible.

FPS can be enjoyed in both Singleplayer and MultiPlayer, for example the Half Life 2 campaign. MMORPG's are Multiplayer only and encourages playing with others. Also the FPS genre isn't p2p. Also the "s" stands for shooter. Also it can't be 3rd person first person shooter.

I assume your intent is humor, I just don't think its all that great. In any case I agree with you, WoW is garbage.

The humour comes from the fact you felt the need to point out a mistake despite the fact the meaning was still clear. The idea that I was just ignorant instead of sleep deprived is kind of funny.

To be honest the whole thread is a farce. No one in their right mind would want to admit they're the same species as this guy. It's just too embarrassing.

The general consensus is as a pure 'game' WOW is crappy, the mechanics aren't fun for a single player, it's the social aspect that makes the game. Watching someone completely avoid that is sad unto itself. It's like being the best masturbator in the universe. It's a hell of a technical achievement but the question will always be "why don't you go get laid"

Yes. The inner ideal of it seems to demonstrate a strain of egomania and distrust, and as such the behaviour at its root shows the signs of a diseased psyche.

playing a game on 11 computers with 36 accounts is a bit unnatural yes.

I have thought about ways I could set up a single player controlling 5 characters. Like maybe have a macro set up to send whispers to each of the classes to automatically do things based on what whispers they recieve (exe make a macro that sends the word "Heal" to your priest which would be a code word for renew or something). Also to have them all set on follow and stuff. I mean thinking about it I could kind of wrap my head around the idea of controlling 5 people.

Now an entire raid (even if it is only 25 people) that's just way out there for me. As for his computer setup though I give it a +10 to HOLY SHIT!

I would say it looks incredibly fake. I could be wrong, but I think having multiple trackball isn't going to help--you'd macro'ed everything together and order the commands in from the main character anyway. Also, seeing as each characters do have to react quite differently, I would say it is impossible to pull off by one person. At any rate, the computer setup is sweet. I wished I have that many screens..

Isn't the one decent thing about a MMORPG the fact you interact with thousands of people...thats incredibly sad and a waste of money.

Well, they are all shamans. That must make it easier.

Still, just anyone even contemplating a setup like this(*) kinda demonstrates that WoW isn't exactly the most involved of games. (Though that's not necessarily a bad thing -- twitchy clicking is a bit overrated, innit?)

altho ifi could control all the accounts somehow id love to go round freaking people out with it xD
