I know the game Sonic Unleashed comes out in about a month from now, but I decided to give you people my honest thoughts about why I'm hyped about the game, but most likely you won't care. Oh well.

Anyway, for some reason, a lot of fanboys are bitching about the Werehog, about how it's stupid and how it's not "Sonic" or some crap like that. As for me, I'm actually pretty interested in the idea. Beating the crap out of... what ever the enemies are, come on, how can no one like that idea? Oh right, fanboys. The reason why I like the idea is because, A, it might give a hit of nostalgia from playing the RPG Beat 'em Up, X-men Legends 2, and B, I like beat 'em ups. What fanboys need to understand(HAHAHAHA) is that SEGA is fully aware that most of the current games "suck".(Except Sonic Chronicles and Sonic Rush) What I think what's going on here is that SEGA and Sonic Team are experimenting with different ideas, I mean think about. A Werehog that is slower but most of the time beats the crap out of shadow creatures, Sonic wielding a sword, a Sonic RPG, they are testing ideas to see how they work and with the ratings of 6-8/10 for Sonic Chronicles, there might actually be a sub-franchise(a la Paper Mario) even IGN, who gave the game a 6.5, said that this could be a franchise. So, what do you think of this theory that they are experimenting and not trying to piss off the ever-so supportive Sonic fanbase? Agree? Disagree?

BTB(By The By), I don't want FLAME comments, please.

If you think that my grammar and blah de blah isn't perfect, 1, yes, I'm American age 15, 2, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT COMMENTING!!!

Well the only flaming point I would bring is your grammar and structure.
It pretty much looks like a flame bait from my perspective.

I've seen the werewolf gameplay trailer. It looks like a repetitive platform experience.

Yes, English is my is my primary but the reason why I went psycho was because my grammar and crap has absolutely NOTHING to do with Sonic the Hedgehog, so for the love of God stop correcting my native English skills and actually talk about the freakin' topic, gah.

I get your point but I just have to say this.

Argumentation 101, Always remain in control of your temper and give your opinions in a sophisticated manner, Never attack your "competitors" opinions directly but counter them with well thought out ones of your own.

I'm not out to make fun of you but take my advice, Otherwise you will just look like an "Xbox kid".

Could the next reply PLEASE be about my topic? Please? Hardly anyone used the words "Sonic the Hedgehog" in their comments so PLEASE, talk about the topic, I said desperately.

I actually did reply to the topic, but you derailled it into this grammar flamewar.

Ok ok, on to the "Sonic" topic. Well basicly, they tried new stuff for Sonic. However, everyone seems to say "No" to it.

As for your franchise theory, possible but with bad ratings. Don't you think the developpers will say. "Well it didn't work, let's try something else".

Sonic is fun for 5 minutes of spinning around in a little ball but I couldn't play it for longer than that. Not a problem by any means, it's the sort of thing I'd play if I have some time to kill before I go out somewhere, or maybe on a train on my NeoGeo Pocket.
Would I pay full price for a worse version of the one I have? No.

Sure thing, Lets get on topic. I'm sick of sonic games and I never really liked that blue furball, I liked one of the games "sonic heroes" I believe but that's the only one.

I'll avoid the grammar war here and comment on the actual topic.

I'm not a Sonic fan, but I really don't see how the Werewolf is a good idea. SEGA always tries to put a little something extra in it, experimenting if you will, but pretty much every time it failed because it wasn't what Sonic was all about.

They tried gunplay
They tried combat
They tried telekenisis
They tried combat
They tried combat
And did i mention they tried combat?

Most if not all 3D Sonic games have been terrible, and SEGA keeps on trying to do something new and interesting with it when they just need to go back to what Sonic was all about; Running hella fast and breaking the sound barrier atleast 5 times in a single level!

I was very hopeful of Sonic: Unleashed. It showed extremely fast gameplay, a motion-blur-phillie's dream. Then they introduced the Werewolf and I'm just afraid it's going to be like the other ones.

No, we're not fanboys for hating the Werehog idea, it looks boring and stoopid.

Sonic should have stopped before it went 3D. It just didn't work after that.

It's because of your James Bond avatar.

More of this please. Speedruns of the old 2D games give you a proper Sonic feel. Never stopping, never stalling, just going really freaking fast and occasionally going off screen because the camera can't keep up ;D

I don't mind a graphical overhaul but Sonic really did play a lot better when you only had to worry about left and right. In the other sonic thread they were talking about a 2.5D game. 3d graphics in 2d space, that could work.

It's been done already. Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventure. It's like New Super Mario Bros. only faster. Just like the old games. HA!
