Meh, I just won't buy it *shrugs*. As long as it's something as peripheral as different suits I don't much care.

Now if it was an add on to the story or challenges or somesuch, maybe. But if it's just suits I probably would've only downloaded it on a rainy day anyways.

Hopefully the trend doesn't continue though ;).

...so you're suiggesting that developers withhold the full game from everyone who didn't preorder?

Huh? Isn't it just a suit? And whats the pre-order business, isn't it just referring to the PS3 version getting some free DLC for a week, as opposed to 360 users which have to pay?

Wow that's hard to sum up. What a stupid idea anyways. I knew that game devs had talked about "pre-order bonuses", but it just seems silly IMO. Especially seeing as how you don't have to actually pre-order the game to get it...

OK I just want to get this off my chest - but what the fuck? I had the option to buy a suit for dead space before the game is out. EA will never cease to just baffle me.

Oh, and Mirrors Edge gets exclusive DLC, and the PS3 and PC are EA's "biggest moneymakers" so I'm sure they already have given the ps3 "a chance".

Currently have Dead Space on Gamefly.

No, I meant that that was what you were suggesting - an add on to the story as part of the preorder bonus?

It comes out the same day as Fable 2, i dont think many people will mind not having a ps3 above a 360 at that point.

Aaaah, no, that's not what I meant, but I did word it poorly. I meant it being offered for free on the PS3 as to the 360. Not whether or not they should give away story missions as part of a preorder bonus, that would be insane.

Like I said, I worded it poorly, my bad (I'm half asleep after all that turkey).

Aww man, can the PC one get like, an alienware suit or something?! (or both?)

Indeed, Dead Space is up against it, fo' sure. Especially as EA are not offering a demo - a strangely suicidal marketing method for a non-established brand.

PC users get mods so there will be someone, somewhere that makes such a suit. I wouldn't be surprised if someone made a Samus Aran or Master chief mod.

Something tells me we'll be slightly too preoccupied with LittleBigPlanet on that day to really mourn the absence of Fable II. Anyway, Dead Space comes out tommorrow, not on the 21st.

Why not snack on a delicious mars bar while you're playing? Now peanut free!

My opinion of deep space spins like a gyroscope. Some trailers portray it as the mutant child of Resident Evil 4 and 'The Thing' while others show it to be a little bit deeper than that. I do however, predict a 7. A 7.4 to be precise.

So somehow my mentioning LBP is advertising, but his mentioning Fable II isn't?

And when did Mars Bars ever have peanuts?

Personally, I think it looks more like an 8.3, +-.4.

Who said anything about advertising? I was talking about how Dead Space's trailers seem to vary in quality.

The least you could do would be vary the joke somewhat. Say you're being sponsored by Gamer Fuel or something.

Eh, I had no news of the 360 suit. Just thought I would drop that EA is pulling a horse armor on us.

PC users QQn about added bonus's for the console versions? I think you'll see more of this type of thing in the coming years for a simple equasion.

PC: most people that play game X on the platform pirated it
360: most of the people who play game X bought it.... but the tides are changing (piracy running rampid ATM on a console???)
PS3: everyone who played game X bought it... period.

The funniesy example is of this Fallout 3: Not even released and it's already been played by millions of Xbox owners... smart move giving the DLC to 360 instead of the system that people would of BOUGHT the game Bethasta. And if you defend gaming piracy your a prick. Now music.... they already rob ya for millions (how many more houses does Britney need?), something tells me music will be fine.

DLC has a bad habit of being bought on the nights when I am really drunk and bored.

um I don't know anyone who pirates games for the 360 and I doubt people will be able to play DLC on a pirated game.

Don't worry, I'm sure people will be pirating the DLC on their 360s too 3 weeks before it's released....

Well, I don't know anyone with a 360... except my 13 year old nephew, isn't really the point though. It is bad ATM... google Fallout3 (yadda yadda yadda)... you get the idea.

360 is going to be easier to pirate for once that Fall Update hits. PSP and Wii have tons of homebrew mods, and the PS3's only "mod" I know of that could possibly give you the ability to pirate games is using linux...

Anyway, it's "easy" to pirate for console once you've gone through the initial pain in the ass. When consoles get more popular, it'll be more rampant. People just want everything for nothing.

I'm still waiting to find out why we can't just use CDkeys that playing online checks against a master list... Sure you can crack or faux a CDkey, but if you play online a couple times eventually the system will notice your dupe or made up cdkey.

I don't see the point. Wow, 360 users have to pay. Incredible. The care-ness has..erm.. gone.
It's stupid. New suits? WHY? They could have made them unlockables for doing different things within the game, but no. This is just another "Horse-Armor" scenario, something that won't improve your gameplay whatsoever and will just look pretty, and it's dark most of the time in the game so you'll hardly notice it. And if you can notice it, the game's got a problem. In a survival-horror genre, you're not supposed to be able to focus on looking at a pretty little suit, because you're supposed to be too busy pissing yourself.

What exactly is the Horse Armor scenario. Is this a reference to Oblivion or something?

Yes. When Betheseda released the horse armor pack, which was completely useless.
