Well... you've pretty much answered all my questions. I see no more room for discussion.

May this thread's locking be swift and merciless.

I though this thread was going to be about a prequal\sequal to the film kidulthood and adulthood.

Youre right, I love this game. Especially Willy Trombone. I really like his character(the videotapes and the messages are hilarious)

After googleing it, The Neverhood looks like a Wallace & Gromit the point and click, well at least visually.

So basically, you just made a thread about a game about 5 people have played?

Which is why I asked him to elaborate. I don't see the point in googling something he specifically made a topic about. I refuse to do it.

for the people that aren't in the beta (HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK???) and can't read that thread:

so, inspired by GOG I got the Neverhood off ebay a couple days ago after seeing it on the Wishlist... I remembered playing a demo of it when I was ikkle about 4-6 (from one of the ubiquitous discs full of demos that came with anything computer related, i think my dad was subscribed to some pc magazine) but never the full one

I'm playing through it happily but got stuck on some parts, I found a nice guide and a writeup of the game's surreal backstory :)

enjoying it so far, i definitely remember the floating room in space and the flytrap-like creature!

anyway, the walkthrough I found has some nice screenshots too and give you an idea of how pretty and cute the game is:

(more here if interested, but best not to look if you are interested in playing the game cos it will ruin the story for you)

Apparently the leader of the development team that made it made earthworm jim too, so maybe it will end up on GOG! :)
I found an official unofficial site that has a mirror of the old website for the game:
neverhood.se - and it has a "where the development team are now" page

The Neverhood - The Making Of, Part 1

The Neverhood - The Making Of, Part 2

interesting!

Dude, if someone asks what you're talking about, don't just say "I don't need to tell you". At least link to it, if you don't feel like telling people what you mean.
As to the game itself, I find point-and-click adventures to basically be the same thing. There may be some that are funnier or more inventive than others, but there's not much different you can do with point-and-click games, at least in my opinion.

That game has some good childhood memories. Got a free copy from a cereal box, decided to play it, and I realy enjoyed it. Too bad I cant find a copy of it today. However, I will always hate that MEGA long hallway just to get a single disk.

if you press enter then type in fastforward then type enter again it puts it in super fast mode, makes the Long Walk not bad at all

you can also skip the walking around pre-recorded bits to speed things up or cutscenes by pressing space
