I was playing Team Fortress 2 on my 360, I haven't had live for very long, so I'm new to most of the way the game works. But I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to be able to fly off the map when a sentry gun hits you.
It started off fairly normal. It was 2Fort, I was sucking at it as usual, killing (on average) zero people before being blown apart. Then it happened.
The gravity suddenly took a violent turn and almost disappeared completely, Scouts could now jump from one side of the moat to the other, Sentry guns were placed on the rooftops, I managed to jump up through a hole into the BLU team's re-spawn area, it was madness. Apparently this was happening in other matches at the same time as well.
Is this a regular occurrence? Were you there? Are you as confused as I am? Too many questions?
Edit: And while we're at it feel free to share any similar events that happened to you.
Mods, I wasn't quite sure if this was related enough to gaming to be on this part of the forums, feel free to move it over to off-topic discussion if you think it necesary. |

Has it been glitching since the 10th then? I don't think breaking their own game would be considered much of a prank anyway. Especially by Valve. It certainly wasn't helping the balance of the game. |

I meant that the 1 year anniversary of TF2 was a few days ago. If this glitch happened just now, than it can't have been for that. |

Only time i flew off a map was when a medic Uber'd me and the sentry decided it would lift my invincible butt into the air and toss me off the map for giggles. |

Same sort of thing happened to me. Except I wasn't ubered, the gravity was just so low that being hit by a sentry while jumping over it knocked me out of the map.

On 360? Or am I the only one here that witnessed this hack? |

Valve should nerf Engineers! |

Yep. On the 360. |

Yep. On the 360.
Then you would agree that it was absolutely crazy? I was a pyro for most of the time, I stood on the roof of the bridge and had battles that spent so much time in the air they might as well have been called dogfights.
Well if it's still going I guess Valve will probably catch on soon, and do something about it. |

Or maybe they won't. They do enjoy the work of their mod community after all. Microsoft on the other hand... |
