Activision already did in COD4... Oh wait, that wasn't Iraq, that was THE MIDDLE EAST. Apparently in COD's paralell universes, countries no longer exist. Stupid political correctness. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 73 Joined: 5 Jan 2009 | why not WWlll, set im more or less modern day (mabey about ten or so years ahead) i know this may just sound like cod4, the weapons would be pretty much the same but the fight could be taken to different parts of the world and i reckon with some thought the story could turn out brilliant |

Only problem with WW1 is that you'd die from shelling/desise before you even saw the enemy. and when the time came to storm the trenches you'd die as soon as you went over the top :P |

The only problem with WWI is the lack of fast-firing weapons. All the rifles were bolt-action, and the machine guns weren't portable (as in one soldier couldn't carry them). Vietnam, on the other hand...that's a real possibility. But Infinity Ward is currently making Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, so that's out for at least another two years. |

Agreed, but can you please not post in blue? Other colors are fine, I just keep thinking they're links :)
That would be cool, as would Vietnam. |

yes, but that's only about a half hour of gameplay right there, and it's really not a shooter if all you do is beat germans to death with stuff. |

ahhh i agree that they should do that. Either that or a russo/finnish war game just before ww2 happened (it happened you know) |
Copy Clerk Posts: 90 Joined: 22 Jun 2008 | Definitely at the top of the list would be Vietnam. There are just so many things Infinity Ward (Treyarch, keep your mitts off this!) could do with the setting and fighting styles. If anything positive can be said about WaW, the Banzai charges were pretty frightening. The second idea kicking around in my skull is for a game set in the Fallout timeframe, perhaps the battle that kicked the nuclear launch off: the US annexing Alaska. I know there's going to be DLC for it, but seeing a CoD game in this setting would be interesting. |

Russian Civil War, fighting alternately as the whites and reds. But leave negative criticism of communism out of it. It was still awesome then, before it was morphed into Stalinism.
