I'm currently 17 aswell and I've been gaming since the age of 1 or 2, it was on the Atari. I believe it to be Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Super Mario World for the SNES, me and my friends would play every day before elementary school, ah the memories.
Seriously? I really can't remember... I mean i think it might have been a sega game because that was my first console...and i have some recollection of some games i played on it, like Sonic, Jurassic Park, Ristar, among others... Strangely enough i hate Sonic *glee*. Now the game that marked my childhood the most was (and i say this with a sigh) Final Fantasy 7. It just did. and i was a fanboy over that game for a while, but now I've grown up and become well....a fanboy in a bigger body i guess <_<.
One of my earliest memories is gaming on some Sega system. I can't even remember the game only little flashes of it, the next I can actually remember was StarFox on the Nintendo 64.
My gaming life started with Spyro the Dragon. I never actually completed it fully, Haunted Towers have a place where you need a timing that's directly on the millisecond.
Space Invaders actually. And that game is still fun to play!
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Megadrive. Good times. Loved that little blue hedgehog. Hated Tails though. Bloody two-tailed fox..thing.
My first game played was Mario Bros 3. on the NES at my then babysitter's house when I was 3. The first game I owned was Super Mario World for the SNES (which I also got). From there it was Link to the Past and Harvest Moon. Best games ever.
Yoshi's Island for the SNES. And it's still in my top ten games of all time.
Quake on my cousin's computer. The nailgun was the best thing that happened to me after I got a bunk bed at age 3.
My first game was Super Castlevania 4 on the SNES then the awesome super mario world =D.
For starters I'll say that I'm 24. The first video game I can remember playing was Super Mario Bros., as I received an NES as an Easter Gift (of all things) when I was four or five. Before that I may have played a few slightly more obscure PC games, though. Most of them pretty generic clones of other games.
I think you and i might share the same birth game. REJOICE!
Red Alert 95- awesome RTS, looking forward for Red Alert 3 Impressive considering I was born 1993
Very memorable game. Quite big and complex for the Atari 2600. Did you manage to finish it? I did once, but I needed a hintbook. :) My first game is most likely Missile Command. I remember playing it on an arcade machine in Austria when I was on vacation. That's.... 28 years ago now, more or less. ;)
Lol, you and I were born in the same year (Though I'm about 1 and a half months older than you :P) and you have the same birthday as my sister XD.
That would be a rail gun. :P
Diddy Kong Racing and Super Mario 64, which stands as the only video game I've gotten my dad to play.
earliest I can think is Pokemon colosseum on my friend's N64. I had no idea what I was doing but he asked me to beat the game for him and I did. It just was that good of a gateway game.
No I did not. I played that game 'till I was 10, barely making any progress. That game was not meant for the mind of a 1-10 year old.
Fluffylandmine, why is your avatar animal farm? First one that made me a gamer was Call of Duty 3 on the Wii. Got me addicted to FPS. Made me buy Call of Duty 1 and 2. Thus making me a gamer when I got my first gaming PC last year.
for truly! 2 people with my birth year? Yay, except I'm older than both of you, June 18
Prince of Persia and Commander Keen on my brother's PC. A long, long time ago.
Fuck all y'all. March 21, 1993.
Played a few here and there till but was never into games untill I got to junior high,And was recommend by some DnD players to try Fallout 2, That game like became all I did in junior high. And even now I protect and cherish the manual to the game.
I am currently 20 Currently Playing: FarCry 2, Rock Band, Secret of Mana, Soma Bringer and Pokemon Silver (on mobile phone when I'm out somewhere) waiting for Fallout 3 this week
Wy first game was a old Dos game Eco Quest, it kinda shoe-horned recycling and environmental friendliness into the whole plot but I still have fond memories of that point and click game. However the first system I owned was the Gamecube, I had SSBM and much fun was had.
Err, no. I'm damn sure it shot nails, not bursts of energy. And a railgun is not better than my Sesame Street bunk bed, good sir.
And I thought this forum was filled with unbelievably intelligent philosophers
15 my first game was Super Mario bros. 3 for the NES, I used to play it everyday, I don't play it everyday now but I still whip it out occasionally.
Magic School Bus explores The Amazon was my first gaming experience.
...unless it shot out unused copies of E.T. for the ATARI 2600 to try and wipe them from the face of the planet.
The first game I played was the Light Gun game built into the old Master System. Tetris followed soon after (obviously not on the MS)

Some of us have been with games since the beginning, some of us have just began playing, regardless we all started with a certain game.
I'm 15, and have been playing games since I was 4. My first game (I can't remember the title), was a game made in the early 90's. I played it on my dad's old Apple II. It took place in a castle, where you play a character that has to solve a series of questions, to get around the castle. The questions ranged from sports to politics. I was very young, and I barely knew any of the answers, so I just spent my time clicking on random choices (A, B, C, D). Even so, I enjoyed it. If only I could remember the title, I want to start playing again..
Anyway, what was your first game?
