You forgot L. Oct battle. Man I have never fought a boss like that. Also for pure nostalgia, C. Wolf. |

AQ20. Drops the pally legplates I forget what they were called. I greed rolled on them 'for my ret set' but i had T2.5 at the time -- don't worry, the other pallies in my raid had better too. If we're talking WoW bosses then: The Prophet Skeram from AQ40 rocked... every third week we'd run noobs through AQ40, and there's nothing as fun as yelling yourself hoarse trying to tell those guys where to go. TBC battles didn't have -sh*t- on pre-TBC battles. Wtih the possible exception of Shade of Aran. I guess Hogger deserves a place in the anals of WoW's great fights; along with the dun morogh yeti who -used- to be elite.
I don't think enough people give the fat man fight credit |

I know the part with Yu Yevon is a big hate cookie that everyone wants to take a bite out of, but the part before it was amazing. The fight itself is pretty fun and hard (as long as you don't use aeons or it's over in like 2 moves), he has a great entrance when he transforms, and the metal song fits nicely. Also, I think the scene leading up to it is one of the most moving I've ever seen in a game. |

What we have are people who can regenerate from the brink of death and can kill you from outside the screen, people who can actually see what you are going to do before you do it, people who can actually become a part of the surroundings to sneak up behind you, and...a fat man on rollerskates? One of these things is not like the other. User was banned for: Poll: What is your opinion on the Metal Gear Solid storylines?. (Permanent) |

I guess your right D: Let me think of something else. The only thing i can come up with is Dr.Wily. Man its so satisfying to beat that son of a bitch after all that shit he has put you trough. The only complain is that Megman never kills Wily. What a dumb fuck! |
Paperboy Posts: 11 Joined: 12 Nov 2008 | Favorite Bosses: 1) Arkbird( Ace Combat 5) Its an irritation to fight but its a great felling when that thing falls out of your sky 2) Yellow Squadron (Ace Combat 4) Super Missiles and Insane Mobility, great pleasure in taking them down 3) Bloody Sereph(Final Fantasy Tactics) Such a moving finl boss and the cut scene afterward really wraps up the best Story of any Final Fantasy 4) Cloud/Squall(Kingdom Hearts Hades Cup) Nothing beats putting those overhyped preety boys in there place. If only it could be done with a more compelling character 5)Overmind(Starcraft) Fighitng through that horde and protecting your heroes all at once was awesome, take forever though |

That boss was the reason I quit WoW, forget that stupid wind chime and his soul sucking game. Anyway, Nyx and Erebus from Persona 3 were a blast, they were long, challenging, and never got boring. (and as someone else said their BMG's rocked my tiny apartment room) |
Muckraker Posts: 239 Joined: 12 Dec 2007 | Hmmm... Both the flying Colossi from Shadow of the Collosus. I really enjoyed those. I have to say ol' FFVI's Sephiroth from a nostalgia point of view, for it's time that was epic. Can I get a William Birkin from Resident Evil 2? Lao Shun Lung from Monster Hunter. What's that red mountain doing here? Wait.. that's not a mountain, it's a dragon.. and all we got are four pointy sticks. Hmm. The giant Mecha-Robotnik from Sonic 2. Curse Him! Curse him! We hates him forever! |

I doubt you're doing what it sounds like you're doing. However, that dialogue that I'm sure you're referencing is inspired by the writer's traumatic childhood experience of watching a rape scene in the 1957 film The Military Policeman and the Dismembered Beauty |
Copy Clerk Posts: 55 Joined: 19 Jun 2008 | I'm not sure if it counts as a boss as such BUT the last mission for GDI on Command and Conquer 3 CAREFUL SPOLIERS!! when they give you the option to use the SUPER BOMB (and it's fall out will kill all your men and millions of others) or play it nice defeat both bases using normal tactics. The whole idea of serious moral choices that affect end results is awesome (you get a different video depending on wether you use the bomb) Obviously I used the bomb :D |

The fight against what's-his-name, the final boss in the Knights of the Nine expansion for Oblivion, when you fight him in the air, that was pretty cool. And the fight to get up to the final boss of the Shai Gen in Crackdown on top of his skyscraper, only to kick him off the edge in a very anti-climactic battle ending was priceless. |

I'd say that was THE most inventive Zelda fight |
Copy Clerk Posts: 107 Joined: 16 Apr 2008 | Baldur's Gate II - Jon Irenicus As he summons the demons to his side and finally transforms, you just stare at the screen thinking "oh shit." Great final boss. |

If you hide on the right side of the stage he can only attack you with one arm.
The last fight with Mysterio in Spiderman 2. It's so pathetic it becomes awesome.
