I was going to create a penis influinced level but now i'm not going to even bother. whats the point if no one can download it to be offended.

oh and anyone who's first instinct is to make a penis level shouldn't be allowed to pass judgement on something as too simplistic and simple minded.

I don't know. I finished the entire single player game (that's aced, got all items, and completed and aced all challenges) in about a week. If you've played a platformer or two it's not all that hard to complete. I will say that I had a fucking blast the whole way through, and, truely, I could not wait to see what the next level would be like. I am, however, a bit saddened by how lacking the *ahem* "cool" levels are.

Jump, you and I should play together. You could watch in awe as I spend 15 minutes typing in a statement because I don't have a mic. Or laugh as I try to mime my intentions using a combo of Sackboys costumes, facial expressions, and arm gentures.

Holy crap, you're alive! Havn't seen you 'round here very often, but yeah I'd love to group up sometime. I have a mic, though I don't use it very often (crap quality anyway, got it with Warhawk and it's nearly broken).

By the by, does anyone know when Online Creation will be updated? It would be much easier to work on my levels if my friend and I could easily create with eachother.

Maybe it is because platforming games, no matter how creative, are a dead genre (except mario).

I got to 999 posts and then spent a few weeks not posting while I thought about just leaving it there.

But yes, like that new game about a devastated city that's coming out, I Am Alive.

"Oh noes this platformer is too simple! Where are my guns and tits?!"

Play the game with friends, it's much better.

As soon as I get the game that is the level I am creating.

You got 100% items in the second level? How!? I swear I've searched every nook and cranny I can conceivably reach on Level 2 of the first area and the best I can get is 98%. I've checked behind every object, activated every switch, but there's still no sign of the last item!

Do you mean the mushroom or the horse level? There's one in the horse level hanging from a tree that took a while to get to, I had to jump off the horse on the way down the hill, and collect a few up top of a tree, then fall and grab my way to the last bubble, which is kind of just above the end of that horse-run a bit to the left? PM me which level and the number of the object if that's not it, and I'll see if I remember where it was.

In this thread I'm surprised.

In this thread the world finds out I'm a chronic liar

Last night I found one of the greatest levels ever made - it was a tutorial someone had made on how to make a level (and, indeed, how not to).

For example, you start in a very plain area. A speech-bubble at the end says "Don't use plain backgrounds. It looks terrible."

You then pull a switch, and everything vanishes. You're left in a Garden-themed level, with music playing. Another speech bubble a little way along says "Do add music and sounds - it makes the world come alive."

It's a truly fantastic level.

acing every level, getting all collectables, 100% like that? 'Cause, damn, I can barely pass that stupid Japleno level!

Indigo_Dingo:

Are you kidding? It has hidden paths, obtainable keys for challenge rooms, Sticker and decoration activated switches, 2, 3 and 4 player co-op challenges, no-death rewards, 100 obtained rewards....

Thanks.
You've made me realise I haven't done all the levels without dying. I'm going to get on that.

Good levels list.

Well, here's something:

http://news.dengeki.com/elem/000/000/126/126090/

This is an official Lumines game apparently.

Perhaps this is the beginning of a new trend? Granted it would likely be limited to puzzle games and other platformers, but I don't know if Sony could garner any memorable IPs to show up in another platformer.

That still doesn't fully address the user-created content deletion issue, however.

Such is the duality of user-generated content. You have thousands of people creating, but like YouTube, hardly half of the content is worth anyone's time.

I dunnow whether I am bored with it or not.

Since the pace at college is picking up I rarely have the time to play anymore :(
Anyways, Yeah, I am still possibly trying to get all the items and get the no-death bonus per level.
Sometimes I venture online is search of cool levels, but mostly I get disappointed

Moderation seems to have killed the fun.
