I know a lot of you hated the game, or just weren't happy with it, are you going to bother with the DLC?

I on one hand probably won't, I haven't completed the single player campaign and I probably never will. Multiplayer got old and boring fast, and I don't think I'll ever get into it again. Then on the other hand, if they added another island, parachutes, and more customization that would give me more incentive to buy it.

How about you?

Well if the DLC costs money then I'm trading in GTA IV now, fuck buying it.

I'll get it. I enjoyed the game quite a bit. I thought the story was the best of all the GTA's, and I hope the DLC continues it a bit...

I liked GTA 4 and I might buy the DLC in time, but right now Rock Band is stealing all my download content money. And can you say Horse Armor?

No offence, but producing a better story than the other GTA's is not hard to do.

To be honest, even if it was free it would still feel like too much of a chore.

Previous games have used downloads to add "new stages, weapons and costumes," says GamePro Media features editor Dave Rudden, "but GTA IV's content will reportedly add hours of gameplay."

IMO, the things missing from GTAIV were new stages (activities), weapons & costumes. I don't think I could bear to play any more hours of that 'realistic' brand of gameplay.

OK, Apparently I have slept through a week, (not the first time, but now is not the time nor the place) but what exactly is a DLC?

Nope. I absolutely hated GTAIV. It just wasn't my type of game. One of the things I hated most was how much time you had to spend getting ready to go on a mission after you die: go to a weapon shop, buy more weapons, go to a food shop, get more health/health restoring items, go to the mission start, and the mission I was on always had me go somewhere else as soon as I got there. I died/lost the other guy's car a couple times, and when I got fed up trying to drive places, I would take cabs, which would cost more money...

All in all, the game just didn't appeal to me. So I sold it.. first game I've ever sold. And I've been gaming since the Genesis. So no. No GTAIV DLC for me.

I'll probably cash in for it. More opportunities to kill people and steal new cars... and..kill people.. yea..

DLC for this? No thanks. Not if it is going to be more of the same tedious same in what was less a sandbox game and more of a friend simulator. What is it going to be? Another friend to pester you into taking them bowling? Another bunch of missions where you scream "STAY AWAY FROM MY COUSIN" over and over?

I did think this game was good. Then I played Saints Row 2 and realized just how poor GTA 4 was.

I thought GTA4 was amazing an excuse to go back to that world epic, but this whole different character thing, will prolly suck, Niko kicks ass I want to play as him again...

*front note* I did my best to avoid spoilers. Odss are if you were going to play the game, you have already, but be warned now. The following may contain spoilers.

Lets get one thing straight right now, I really enjoyed GTS 4. I played though it twice and got far more than my moneys worth.

I however, I will NOT be buying the DLC. I can't say that I really disliked Niko as a character, in fact, he is probably the one I sympathized and connected to the most despite his multiple personalities. It pisses me off to see a character who ripped niko off and disappeared after being involved in two or missions get his own story.

Rockstar gave so much potential for advancement in the storyline with main villians still alive, etc. and now it seems that they've just decided to let it all rot with unanswered questions.

Annoying unanswered plot elements aside, why Johnny? He was possibly the least likable character still alive (depending on who you killed of course) and only showed up in a couple missions to ultimately rip Niko off. For example: Why not Packie? He was a developed character and had a past and future ahead of him.

Ultimately I see why Rockstar changed to a character with no back story who nobody gives a shit about. With all the choices in plot (mainly the last choice) they would need to alter the content depending on what decisions gamers made. This would take longer and cost more and rockstar wants money now.

Irritated ramblings aside, I don't personally like biking, especially in a game like GTA where crashing into anything results in you flying head-first over your handle-bars and ragdolling for 60 seconds. Playing as Johnny (who I may remind you is a member of the lost biker gang) I expect many missions involving biking and biker gangs which, while in some settings has the potential to be fun (games like roadrash come to mind), I don't think it'll be very fun in GTA.

To summarize quickly, Bad character, bad gameplay, bad reason, bad choice. I'm not planning on spending any money at all.

I thought the complete opposite SR2 made me realise how awesome GTA4 was. I cant be bothered to play Saints Row as its so shallow and uninspired, fun for 5 minutes here and there but nothing more

I only rented it, I figured i'd buy it if it was good. It started getting annoying about the time I had to start doing chores for everyone, pick them up, drive them around etc. But after like an hour of that, i said fuck that and decided to only do what i wanted, if someone wanted to go bowling and i didn't, looks like they were walking there.

If you only do what you want, say go to darts when you want to, then it's not so bad.

I'd get the DLC, if I had xbox live... and a job... and GTA4... and ample amounts of time...

Once i get all those things, Rockstar will have a new customer.
