Half Life's puzzles are getting a bit repetitive but they're still better than any other FPS I've ever played. Left 4 Dead is amazing, real life needs more zombies! Lastly...Portal, need I say more?

I'll fight you over that one. I beat every new Nintendo release back on the N64. They're the same game with slightly better graphics and mechanics. Snoresville. Rockstar games are indeed overrated.
Valve, however, is one of two companies (Bioware being the other) that get me hyped up before the release of their software. Valve consistently delivers on their promises, IMHO, and I love the hell out of their games.
Of course, I mod for the source engine, so that may be an unfair bias...

Lmfao, one of the only ways you could get more hits is if you made a topic "WHICH CONSOLE IS BEST?" Anyway, I don't buy very bad games, but, I suppose, I found GTAIV a bit overrated. The ending wasn't satisfactory in my oppinion, c'mon, you killed Pegorino and Dimitri, what about everyone else? They're still there! And how does killing Pegorino make you free to earn money? You'll make substantially less after the game ends.
Halo is very over rated and gears of war its good but i never really loved it like some people do. BUT!!!!! the biggest bust and the most overrated has to go to Too Human what a bust that game was horriable.
Hmm... Games I find overrated. Well, Ico. Couldn't even finish that damned demo, it just bored me. And surprisingly, Guitar Hero. Seriously I found Guitar Hero On Tour pretty overhyped. Guitar Hero III and On Tour were the ones that seem to have brought many people into the series, but I don't find them to be my favourites. Oh sure, Guitar Hero III had some pretty sweet songs and it was the first game of the series I played, but it was extremely hard, and not as good as Guitar Hero II. Guitar Hero On Tour is a fun little thing to play while sitting in my room working on something, but there isn't much of a song choice, and I find my hand getting tired all the time. And with barely any point in buying things from the store, I just find that to be wasted space. If they took that out and just gave you about... three or four starting guitars, they probably could've fitted in another tier. Oh, and that 'Europe gets different songs!' thing kinda pisses me off. Not really fair. In my opinion, Guitar Hero On Tour wasn't much of a game, more of an experiment to see how the DS formula for Guitar Hero would work. And they found out. 'Lots of strumming = Harder song' and 'Red Hot Chili Peppers = Perfect for final tier' come to mind. Oh, and Halo.

people say gears is overrated it was overhyped but not overrated. Anyway overated games are Fifa series, COD series, anything made by blizzard excluding the Diablo series, Portal (yes it was awesome but it's not that awesome), resistance and oh of course the most overrated game ever GTA IV! (god that game was so boring)

Graustein: Honestly? Ocarina of Time. Yes, it's damn good. Majora's Mask is better, as is Wind Waker. It's not the best Zelda game ever.
Oh, and of course the Halo games. And GTAIV. And CoD4, and... well, most FPS games nowadays.
Wrong again! I can't exactly say why Ocarina of Time was the best, but it is the only game that actually made me like the other characters besides the hero himself.

*sigh* yeah Halo is overrated but you know what. I really wonder what people would say if Halo wasn't popular at all. Would it have been an underground hit? Would people have called it an underappreciated gem?
It's not really a bad game. It's an overhyped arcade shooter but it's not THAT bad.
Toiboi: the most overrated has to go to Too Human what a bust that game was horriable.
I really wouldn't say Too Human is overrated since just about everyone agrees that it's a mediocre game at best and a horrible game at worst. Sure ain't no Diablo.
I agree with Ocarina of Time, though. It's a clunkier, uglier Link to the Past.
Oh, and I don't really understand what anyone sees in Second Life. It's a buggy virtual space that's chock full of badly done 3D porn. There are easier and better outlets for that.
Here is my list of overrated games and my reasons why...
*Bioshock: Great Story but Gameplay was felt lacklustre and shallow. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: the shadow of Chernobyl did the FPS/RPG genre far better. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I find is a very overlooked game. *Halo 1: felt unrefined in all areas halo 2 was allot better.Especially the Story was not even engaging enough for me. It makes me wonder why people made such a fuss about this game. *Tomb Raider Series personally I found all Tomb Raider too buggy and way too hard to beat. the exeption was with Tomb Raider:Legend Which went the other way it ended up being too easy.

Mmm, I'll go with Halo 3 and Gears of War 2. Everything else has pretty much delivered what they've told us, although their fanbases are absolutely freaking stupid.
It played fine, but it's the only game I've ever played, and I've played some real shit, where I just put down the controller halfway through and asked myself "Why am I playing this, again?"

Heh, everyone is on the "halo teh sucks and overrated" bandwagon these days to the point that I don't think there's any Halo fans but there's much more increase of Halo haters and gamers who don't find the series to be special. I created this for that reason, not to see which games people consider "overrated". It's to see how much hype backlash the Halo and Gears of War series can get. The whole halo, gears, and xbox fanboys is just a gaming stereo type when there's only a few compared to the mass majority of haters. Many gamers hate the Halo series because it's so mainstream and acclaim by critics they're ready to be in the know and stereo-type Halo fans as mindless drones where in some cases there are actually some but not as many people might think. Where as the praise it gets gamers assume that they're considered to be the best FPS for them but the actually never considered to be the "God" and most game critics prefer other P.C. FPS like Doom and Half-Life over Halo. For me I enjoyed the original for it's single player and it's sequels for their online multi-player, I wanted too check to see if my comment of Halo 2 & 3 would influence most gamers views on the series.
By the way, that comment went a little too far. You may despise Halo but claiming it's worse than that godawful South Park first is a very low blow. I'm guessing you hate Halo more than Daikatana and RE Survivor too, am I right?

It is worse than South Park; to my eyes FPS's don't interest me at all, you point with a gun and pull the trigger, how boring, where are the combos? South Park broke this for me, it was interesting and different and fun, still point and shoot boredom but i got to fire cows at people Woo!! I am on No Bandwagon i've never liked Halo or Doom or Half-life or anything of that kinda thing (except Goldeneye, that was fun) I don't hate Halo and nor do i hate than any other FPS i simply have yahtzee's beat 'em up syndrome with FPS's and always have

You haven't heard of Daikatana and Resident Evil Survivor then... Good! Those games are beyond bad and avoid them at all cost. I've gotten headaches from those games that were almost as painfuk than the ones I've gotten from playing Superman 64.

Ocarina of Time is one of the very few games that have been remade to be more difficult because it was that good.
