Me and my friends have talked about a turned based Pokemon MMO so much we are going to buy a tape recorder and just tape all our ideas and send them to Nintendo. They may not except it but when somethings been on your mind as much as it has been on ours, then you have to at least try. I would like to say that I hate all the MMO's I have experienced.

Nintendon't hates their customers enough to not consider their ideas. They have an incinerator just to destroy the ideas of their customers. Which is what I think they have.
Don't mention you actually like Pokemon. Apparently, the series is still a fad and anyone who likes the games are stupid and laugh at how the games "have no depth compared to a real RPG." Just don't tell this to the players who spend hours trying to create the perfect moveset, have the perfect stats, best nature, and the best EV/IV points.
This sounds like a fun idea, but I'm iffy about the controls... It's like a regular FPS but with 4 fire buttons, yea, it could work. The 'utilize your environment' part could be done on this generation. Have everything be targetable. I like it.
another bumper, but with the introduction of two on two, it could get confusing on a smaller map, especially with destructable scenery. How about the ability to turn certain modes off, not during the battle, but before.
Also, i think that having some moves taking longer to use would work, for example, make fire punch slower than say, takle, as it needs time to "charge" the flames.
Nobody cares. You wasted a minute of my life to CHECK this. god if you don't have anything intelligent or worth while to say, or even something stupid and funny, don't both posting.
Onmi: See the only problem I see, is that system can be severely limited to.
I can predict a lot of solutions right now, 'We don't need as many Pokemon' 'We can give pre-set attacks' 'We can change genre'
And for all 3 I have a response.
For the first, isn't a massive argument about how most games DON'T give you access to all the Pokemon available, and also, it stops being a slight change and improvement, and makes a huge jump
For the second, that removes a large part of Pokemon's Competitive scene, ask around anyone who puts serious thought into their move set, even if they don't go the extra mile of EV training and IV resetting. A limited or Pre-Set move set wouldn't be beneficial
For the last, that's when I think the point is missed, we don't want to make it a Platformer, or an Action game, we don't want to change Genres. And we DON'T want to act like there is a negative annotation attached due to being an RPG.
What we should be striving for, is to improve upon a set system, to not alter it in the sense of changing what the games are about. We want to make them better RPGs not Better *Insert Genre*
Now I know nobody suggested or asked these, these are hypothetical statements I believe could be said. That I believe miss the point of improving the game all together.
To improve to me, is to build upon, Most RPG systems don't work with Pokemon due to it's uniqueness, and I believe we should keep it unique and strive to evolve it to a MORE unique system, not Cookie Cutter something else or drop it.
Understand what I'm saying? Just my thoughts.
*nods* Agree, agree, and THANK YOU for understanding 8D

Your being quoted in the OP now. I hadn't thought of this.
Omnidum: Just to bump it: You could also use the moves to terraform the landscape into a pasage between you and a secret previously unaccessible.
That's kinda what I meant when I spoke of using Charizard to fly around in real time. But your wording illustrates it better.
I have another idea: Make your Secret Base an actual base. I mean that you can store items and Pokémon in there, as well as decorating with a more vivid array of stuff.

As quite a number have people have said in this thread this game has milked all that it can milk. I really like the idea, i really do, but the franchise need to realize that its gone too far. (I wish Halo had realized that before it made 2 and 3) Ironically i did recently play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and i was shocked by how much i enjoyed it. The story was great, the game was at a moderate difficulty and even though i felt as if they were lulling me into a fantasy dream world, "Everything is going to be ok Zeldadudes, we have the heart and the will to do it", i still enjoyed every moment of it :)
Regretfully i did play Pearl and i was massively disappointed by it... After Mew i was really confused about how Celery? I'm kidding Celebi was the master of the time but at the same time Mew was a God???
Zeldadudes: After Mew i was really confused about how Celery? I'm kidding Celebi was the master of the time but at the same time Mew was a God???
Nice idea though haha :)
I think it's like this: Mew controls the material world, Celebi controls the substance of time, whilst Dialga makes sure that time does not flow over. So as trainers, we fuck the world up as much as we can.

*Eddie Izzard voice* Yes so um....this is all true.
Arceaus is the creator, the father of everything, It then Established time and Space, and then, it created Mew, the mother of all, bestowed upon the mother was the ability to give form, Time and Space we're given Physical entities, Dialga and Palkia, Giratina was spawned from those two's creations, their love child, dimensions.
This is how the universe came to be.
Dialga, casted of it's power to travel through time, since time is constant, and mew created Celebi from that. Jirachi was born from the power of Wishes, and Manaphy was the embodiment of love.
On the moon, Mew created Pokemon, while on Earth she created humans, Humans we're beings with no control over the elements, who's 'Evolution' was a gradual change, they we're not made for combat, Pokemon however we're created emphasizing different attributes of the universe.
Darkrai was created for night time, Cresselia was the moon Each legendary was the Physical embodiment of the world. that is why if one is to die, that part of existence would end.
Okay Pokemon we're sent down to earth from their testing ground, the moon, Humans, adapted to the change, since that was THEIR innate abilities.
Yes I know this theory is extremely confusing and Mew is not a female, but it makes sense when ya think about it.

0_0; Um....I have no idea what to say to that, so....
My question is: Why the Hell has this not been made yet? All pokemon fans want this.
Here are my two (three) cents: 1. Make people not have many pokemon. In the actual games, the main protagonist seems to be the only person with more than three pokemon, six if they're breeding specialists. That would make the world a bit more immersive. 2. Equalize the pokemon. I don't want to have to train pokemon I like, knowing that by level 100, I'll have been shortchanged in stats. Sure, maybe legendaries would have better stats than the others, but isn't the essence of an RPG balance? 3. Decide on the protagonist's age. The 10-year-olds in Red and Blue run off like 14-16 year-olds, and the kids in D-P act like they're 20. If you're going to have any sort of sexuality in the character design, make them older. Nothings more sickening than anime child-porn showing up on honest image searches for "dunsparce."
Omnidum: I wonder if Nintendo would check this if we e-mailed it to them.
Highly doubtful.

1. Agreed. This would make it seem much more....true, I think is the best word. 2. Again, also agreed. I was thinking that with the new system, when leveling up, you could choose what stats your pokemon raised, so by level 100, you could have the fastest Snorlax ever, so much it could outrun a Dodrio. xD 3. I think that perhaps with the charecter creation, that if you chose your age, certain dialogue options be opened or closed to your charecter.
Since our dear friend Onmi got himself banned.....xD Here's his thoughts.
Onmi:
1. Make people not have many pokemon. In the actual games, the main protagonist seems to be the only person with more than three pokemon, six if they're breeding specialists. That would make the world a bit more immersive.
It's already like this, and whats the big deal anyway? this isn't like the anime where everyone and their dog has no dreams of the big time, nobody is restricted to being a trainer.
It's not like their is a rule how much you can catch, I mean if the guy got far enough to where you are he OBVIOUSLY was as good as you.
2. Equalize the pokemon. I don't want to have to train pokemon I like, knowing that by level 100, I'll have been shortchanged in stats. Sure, maybe legendaries would have better stats than the others, but isn't the essence of an RPG balance?
Again EVs and IVs are already IN the game to manipulate how high a stat gets, Every Pokemon has a role they can fulfill, their attacks and equipped mean more to the fight than the stats.
Take a Curselax move set. Curse lowers speed and raises attack and defence on a freaking Snorlax, they are already living tanks. equipped with a Chesteo Berry that awakens you the moment you are put to sleep, you use rest when your HP gets too low.
EV's and IV's are Hidden Values, but it can make Pokemon come out on top. (Check Serebii.net for more info)

We already discussed character customization.
Also I'm of the personal opinion that they are always ten as a way to introduce them to the manga, and appeal to the demographic, Red is 16 now because 6 years have elapsed.
In Pokemon having the adult around is different to having a kid do it. With an adult things become to easy or restricted.

I can't say anything about his own thoughts. And I posted for him because he messaged me what he wanted to say. I'm not going to deny someone their opinion, or keep their voice from being heard.
But, I don't think you insulted his manhood. He's very opinionated and level headed (from what I've seen anyways) Only reason he was banned was for a few curse words which I didn't even notice.
I say get rid of all the pokemon past GSC and then make the games like the older ones. Then I'll go back to playing them. Also bring it back to the game boys, the DS ruined it.
chromewarriorXIII: I say get rid of all the pokemon past GSC and then make the games like the older ones. Then I'll go back to playing them. Also bring it back to the game boys, the DS ruined it.
and while we're at it, why not try and force nintendo to get blood from a stone... getting rid of the DS is never going to happen until nintendos new cashcow comes along, and as for g/s, they may remake them, like they did with red/blue.
