I personally love everything he does. Black and White 2 was my first real "power" game and it was great. If he made a movie, what would it be about, or would it be a continuation fo the Fable/Black and White series or even Populous, and how could a movie follow that?

I know that he over hypes, but he is proud of his babies

...Did we play the same game?

No because the scripts in his game are cheesy and bland.

Think about WATCHING someone else play Fable 2 for two hours, would that be a good movie or would the ending make you want your money back.

Note the quotes, but you were a God and they loved or feared you, which (combined with certain egos people have) can make you feel great

No, Black & White 1 made me feel god like. Black & White 2 made me feel empty and bored. Biggest let down ever.

I would probably watch it.

He's passionate about what he does, that's something to admire.

Maybe it would be about some guy running around with no control over his actions. Like someone was controlling him.

Watching someone else play any video game for two hours would be dreadfully boring, and probably just as full of poor, by movie standards, writing.

Well, maybe not Bioshock.

But think about if Fable 2 wasn't a game but a 2 hour movie using that story line. That is what a Peter the big M would create and think is fantastic. It's the story of a boy, whos sister dies then he becomes a hero and kills some bitches and collects some friends to shoot a single max ranked fireball at a floating crystal and then the credits roll.

What he should really do is get Michael Bay on board. That would be a film to.... To...

Nah, I may have liked Transformers, but I still can't say it with a straight face.

Thing is, writing a plot for a video game takes the back seat to developing gameplay, features, graphics, etc. A plot is far more important to a movie, and thus more time would be spent on it.

Also, I think one of the goals of the Fables was to be kind of generic. The games are called Fable for a reason. Fables are old, familiar, much told stories, usually rehashed with a different setting. The Fables were just that: familiar.

Something like this:

Peter Molyneux: "When we were making this movie we aimed to make the best movie of all time. We expirimented with a lot of different styles and in the end I think we came up with something unique.

There are some features which unfortunately due to the PR police I can't talk about now, but they've never been attempted before on this scale, in action they create a revolutionary experience in cinema.

One of our main focuses was to make our movie appeal to a wide range of audiences and I think we got the balance between satisfying the hardcore movie buffs and the casual movie goers just right, it's epic and interesting without being too deep or complex to alienate those new to the cinema. I hope the movie critics take this into consideration when they rate the movie and try to experience it from the perception of someone who hasn't seen a movie before to appreciate it's accesibility."

It comes out and turns out too be a pretty good movie but nothing like Peter Molyneux described.

Well how about this, a person grows up and becomes a god. He can live forever but he has to watch his friends and family grow old and die. I couldn't imagine the pressure it would take to be a god. People grow to love him and depend on him, untilt eh pressure becomes to great, and then the god must drift aside and let the people take control. I could see that having a deep message and what not. That is totally Molyneuxesque.

Or someone who is the best person ever and has to live with the corruption and evil in the modern world. I should be writing these down....... Molyneaux really has a way of making you feel something, or at least I did in Fable 2.

He makes me feel something alright. Dissapointment. Watching his face light up with glee when he makes his character fart in fable2 demos has made me realise the guy is so easily excited its no wonder he says everything about his games are amazing. The same would be true of his movie. Would be billed by him as the next LOTR only to be on the level of 'In the name of the King'

If Molyneaux made a movie, it would have a spectacular trailer which made it appear to be the film of all films, but what releases in theaters wouldn't have any connection with the trailer, save the name. Then, upon hitting the DVD, the ending of the film would be changed, and there would be little extras throughout the film, but none of which make up for what the trailer promised that the film didn't deliver.

if he made movies he'd spend years hyping it up and saying how awesome it was and everything they were doing in it, when it finally got released it would be late and have half the stuff he promised in it

Isn't that pretty much what video games are?
And i don't believe he would make a very good movie writer. I've never felt attached to any of the characters in his games because they are all so bland. The plot is generally bland. His movie would probably be very bland.

As long as it's not "Black and White: The Tutorial for a God", it'd be okay, I guess.

Surely the MGS series wouldn't be too bad to watch either. Most of that is conversations/talking/cutscenes if everyone on the internets is to be believed.

Combined:
As long as it's not "Black and White: The Tutorial for a God", it'd be okay, I guess.

What about "Populous: Prelude of a God" followed by "Populous: I'm a God now!" and the third one to wrap up the trilogy "Populous: I'm still a God."

Same here. It would be a bit like an Ewe Boll movie.

Also, considering that it's Molyneux we're talking about, he would have leaked the spoilers before production had even started.

And this is coming from a fan, too.

If he made a movie he would go on about all this shit that would happen in it and making it so damm hyped up and apparently the best thing in the world. Thing gets released and it has NOTHING he gabbled on about, not even in deleted scenes.

Thats the film equivilient of paying a fortune for some hooker who promises the most mind blowing sex known to man, only to discover that it's her time of the month and shes got bird flu.

The Fable story and characters were so bland, generic and cliched, he'd definitely give Ewe Boll a run for his money in worst game ever.

Watching competitive gaming like pro Starcraft is pretty fun, but that's more a sports game than a movie.

What is Black and White 2 like? I've played the first one and after I'd turned my beast into a ruthless killer I vented out the rest of my anger on my villagers:

"I'll wont give you the magical stone if you don't save my husband!"
"You DARE threaten me!!!"
*Hurls her into a brick wall and crushes house to retrieve the stone*

Knowing him he'd deffinately give it a sequel which would contain ever so slightly different characters, a disney-esque talking dog & a really dissapointing climax.

He would make lots of promises and even go so far as to call it 'the best movie ever' only to have it suck. Then, after a few years, he'd release a sequel that doesn't suck and is actually quite good by most people's standards.

Yahtzee wouldn't like either one.

if he madea a movie, trees would grow in real time, the main characters life would change on what shoes he wore, and his action on crossing the street on the cross walk or jay walking would afect his allignment 10%. oh and our antagonists would have minoins that did all the work. the protagonist would work for half the movie to get to him, only to have the final boss kill taking from him. (DAMNN U REAVER! DamN U TO HELL!)

He would promise high pitched chase scenes in exotic cars and we'd bike chase scenes. He'd promise top of the line CGI and we'd get a badly drawn picture drawn with crayons. He's promise excellent story and characters we'd get the story and characters from a Paris Hilton movie. He'd promise it would be better than "The Dark Knight" and it would be worse than "Disaster Movie".

Bwah? I think Square and Konami beat him to that Long LONG ago. (Keep in mind I LOVE their games)

You know what we need a movie of, Kefka destroying the world for 2 hours before erecting a gigantic penis monument on the grave of Sephiroth, while pissing liquid acid to write his name on the moon.

It would sell like nothing before it.

Well, to my knowledge, there has never been a movie about being a god. And Peter Molyneux knows god stuff, well his type of god stuff. No one esle thinks that would be interesting?

Populous was awesome, everything after that..... it's been decent/ok. Good but nothing special. Also packed with glitches. So no, he should not make a movie, it would be bland and full of glitches.
