In-game joke. Someone wrote "I killed 53,595" on the wall in a safe room.

It's also one more zombie kill than the Dead Rising Zombie Genocide achievement.

I don't see why it's pathetic. It's been out, what... week and a half. That's like 250 zombies, per hour... for every hour of every day since it's been out.

I reckon it'll be about another 6 days, for the 400 zombies an hour, 8 hours a day players to start hitting the 54k.

@ whoever needed to get Cr0wned: You can wait for other infected to harm her, but the "official" way to do it is to grab a shotty (either one), turn off your light, and get in her face. She will slowly start to stand up at which point you can proceed to blow her brains out with a face blast.

And I've never played Easy or normal (except in versus). All these were on accident, I've only briefly glanced over the achievements (until now of course).

Actually, someone may have killed 53k infected, just less than 0.1%.

I came close to the Lambs 2 Slaughter club as a Hunter, but someone smacked me in the back of the head when I had him down to 10 health. ARGH!

Haha, and he still doesn't have "Lamb 2 Slaughter"... I want to know how he (or anyone) got Man Vs. Tank. It's not like it's tough, it's just...when do you get the opportunity to do so?!

It's also kind of sad that "Safety First" has a very small percentage.

All of them, they are random. It's why it's "Rick Roll". Before you close the door of the safehouse in a chapter, check the walls for it. It has the chorus of rickroll and right under it "Fuck Rick Roll!"

There is a known bug, that stops that acheivement showing up on the steam stats pages, but shows up fine in game.

And for the soloing the tank thing, you could probably let your team mates suicide onto the tank, and you kill it. As long as they dont do any actual damage to him, it should work.

I was the Smoker, but that achievement is more down to dumb luck than anything else. There aren't really any tips to getting it I'm afraid!

One thing i'm finding hard to understand about L4D is the lack of stats on their website...

i got the lamb2slaughter achievement. what happened was that they were about to get into the safe room and once they barely got in i grabbed one in the red as a smoker and he incapped. not necessarily that they were stupid, just on the verge of dying.

Edit: btw it should probably be pointed out that those are only percentages, which have been rounded, so theres a good chance some have got that achievement... err.. i think, someone may need to find some sales stats.

It's a reference to Dead rising, which has an achievement for 53,594.

Also, two people in the clan I frequent have it (out of 300+players). The overall number compared to total copies of L4D must be negligible though.

Jeez, do people even read a thread? Its been said time and time again that it is one more than the Dead Rising achievement...and this topic was resurrected, interesting. =X I'm about half way to the achievement in L4D and I have done the Dead Rising one as well...That took me about 5 hours of my real life time I think. The Mega Buster was a big dissapointment too.

Bear in mind this thread was started back in November. We're now up to 1.3% Zombie Xenocidist.

Why have the other 98.7% not earned that badge yet? Probably because boredom set in first. :P

Apparently the "LAMB 2 SLAUGHTER" badge only has 0.1% of the population. I wonder how many of the people with that badge cheated to get it.

I remember killing 53,594 zombies in Dead Rising. I remember going back to the safe area. I remember failing the mission and hitting the "GAME OVER" screen. But I didn't remember that you could still continue the game.

Needless to say, after I figured out you could do that, there were a few less kittens in the world.

Now, ON TOPIC, I doubt I'd ever get half of those achievements, if only because I get all of mine by either luck or simply playing the game... but killing +50k... that would just be insane. No thank you, I... think I have a life... not really sure, let me go check...

the 53,595 is a dead rising joke. you get an achievement for killing more than 53,594 zombie in that game, so I guess they just wanted to put that down in L4D
