I suppose I would have to say Fable 2.. and Digimon World o.O I Mean seriously.. wtf's up with that.. It was the first game I ever got, back when i was like.. 12, and I still crave to play it. I downloaded it onto my psp -.- But yea.. Fable 2 for some reason, I don't really see why it's any fun, it's kindof annoying but oddly addicting..

I forced my way through lost odyssey.

Even by JRPG standards, it's so bad. It's like someone distilled the worst of the worst out of every JRPG and stuck it on a disc. Playing through it is akin to having electrodes attached to your eyelids while gorillas with razor strap-ons have their way with your bodily orifices. But I was stupid enough to listen to someone's advice that branded the thing BEST GAME EVAR, so I forced myself to play through the thing, including the stupid downloadable expansion, so that I learn my lesson and never listen to other people's advice again

I liked that game until you met those two kids.
I loved the social dynamic between the three characters you had until that point.
It was relatively witty and amusing. I thought I was in for the next Shadow Hearts.
But as soon as those two kids happened, the cliche train rolled on in and everything went to hell.

In addition to LO, GTA4 fits that description for me very well. Didn't care about the characters, the sandbox elements were plain, especially compared to San Andreas. The whole going out with friends/dating thing was just atrocious. And there was never an interesting area, really. It was plain New York-esque district 1-5. No variety at all. The main story was predictable and uncompelling, yet I pressed through because I thought something interesting might happen; but it never did.

Games that I hated but played anyway? I hated Final Fantasy VIII, but I played almost all the way through it because I couldn't believe that the game that came after VII could be so terrible.

Games that scare the shit out of me every now and then? Well, I've been playing Thief recently, and I've jumped out of my seat a couple of times when I get seen by a guard behind me who I didn't know was there.

I recently had this experience with Storm of Zehir. I don't really like the game, I just forced my way through it so I could see the end. The ending was awful. Yet I'm tempted to make up a new party and give it another shot.

Sonic Heroes.
At first I thought hey this is pretty cool...
Then I slowly realised how out-dated its lives and lack of health bar was...
Then I realised that the level design was pretty poor...
Then I realised that the gameplay (I think thats the right word) pretty much sucked.
I managed to finish the game with the easiest team as it was quite nice-looking and there was the odd quite cool bit.
However despite the fact that it offered four different paths as there were for different teams I soon realised that this was a blatant line and it actually meant 4 difficulty settings, with slight differences made.

The first Kingdom Hearts controls like arse, but I feel a compelling need to finish it at some point because I loved the second one so much.

Halo 3. I only keep playing it cause its pretty fun just yelling at people through the mic and getting insane badges or whatever they are called. But I just don't like it, like I never play it by myself. Only with select friends cause I laugh so hard everytime I play with them.

Sega SuperStar Tennis. Got it with my Xbox 360... And it sucks... But... To... Addicted... To... Stop!... I hate it because they ruined Jet Set Radio Future.

Star Wars: Episode 3 the game for the PS2 would fit the OP's category...

I hate the game for being buggy and broken at some parts, but always get a kick out of slaughtering Jedi at the Temple as Anakin...

Overlord for me, it's like Pikmin but evil. The puzzles are ok but killing an entire town is more fun.

I really loved the song that played in the main menu. Unfortunately I hated the game. I'm sure it would have been great if I could actually play it but it literally took 10 minutes to get into a game starting from the point where I double-clicked on the icon, and that is just too fucking long. And then you had to wait to spawn and you had to trek across these ridiculous distances to get to any opponents and holy crap was it ever an awful experience

To make my own submission, Half-Life 2. I don't even like that sort of music, and I'd never listen to it outside of a game, but it was completely appropriate and totally awesome in the contexts it was used in.

Definitely Fallout 3's radio. Had some of the most awesome music to listen to while killing raiders.
