May also put "Where the Hell am I supposed to go?" in here as well.

Honorable Mention to the Above: Shadow of the Colossus

SotC - The freaking snake in the cave. The whole turning around and shooting him in the eyes thing.

CV: SotN: The whole deal with the Spikebreaker armor and that one platform where you have to attack the ice.

Neverhood - The ridiculous neon symbols code. When symbol X comes up here and makes a sound, then when you go to the actual console and the sound comes up with letter y, y is the symbol you put in there.

Uh, just about half the puzzles in Resident Evil 4. Especially the freaking color mixing light thing in the beginning. All those puzzles made me mad. Even though the game was great, the puzzles got on my nerves.

That part in DMC:4 were there are four different paths going though some forest only one takes you onto a new set of paths the others send you to fight enemies and if you beat them you are sent to the beginning this was fine with Nero but as Dante some one decided it would be a good idea to make the direction you just came through to be magically another path.

The only one I had problems with is that stupid slide puzzle you have to do when you're Ashley.

Kotor. Sith temple.

"Yeah, let's use a very cliché puzzle with a twist and give the player a really long tutorial on how to use it AND FORGET TO TELL THEM WHAT THE GOAL IS!!!"

The very last Level of Shadow of the Colossus. Having ploughed through the whole game with nary more than a minute to work out what I was supposed to do for each one, I reached the last level, triumphantly climbed almost all the way to the top, and went "eeeerrrr..... ...what now?".

Looking back I was just being a bit thick, but still.

When I saw that slide puzzle, you should have seen the look on my face.

That was easy. 8o Just follow the light. If there was a shadow on the path, DONT go there. xD;

I think the most annoying puzzle I've ever faced in a game was on Onimusha, where Samanoske got trapped in the room with the water and you had to solve that sliding peice puzzle.

Just play Myst III: Exile. Just about everything in there.

Seriously I was already stuck for hours on the first Island, I just couldn't figure out how to get those books in the towers. This might've been so because I had no idea how to get into the main tower either.

I did not feel ashamed to use pen and paper to write stuff down in that game, but I guess you were supposed to.

On the other hand it is absolutely satisfying when you figure it out.

Doing it on computer with no mouse or gamepad is even worse. 8/

Only time I ever played OoT. Beat it too.

But I'm never playing it again. >8/

My mom played alot of Myst. I laughed at her alot.

There was another game called Atlantis I think. It was alot like Myst. Fun times. The charecters were amazing, as were the enviroments.

I don't think I could ever laugh at anyone who's playing that game. Expect maybe if the answer's so obvious it's just painful not to laugh. Like hitting a switch in the next screen to open a door.

Can I just say BRAID and be on my way?

It's so nice but my brain can't cope.

God, yes, it counts. It's Satan's Unruly Spawn on MasterQuest.

Also, old computer games: Lighthouse, Starship Titanic, and Sanitarium kicked my butt often.

Yeah, I'm a few puzzles short of full completion on Braid myself.
Beautiful game, solid mechanic, hard as hell. Of course, I respect a puzzle game that's hard as hell far more than one that's easy, and I refuse to use any guides.

And to whoever said I Wanna Be The Guy... lol. Yeah, it's evil.

That was stupid hard. All the bits with Kaede were annoying, she was so lame.

The slide puzzle is RE4 was my mortal enemy. I damn near gave up on the game because of that. I had to get my friend to do it for me. I've always sucked at slide puzzles.

im at lvl 5

Those things are getting so lame. All the good puzzles have been used, yet people keep making them.

I agree about the Myst series, too, as well as the Zelda Water Dungeon (Though I found the one in Majora's Mask more annoying than the one in Ocarina of Time.

As for my own contribution... the Desert Palace in FFIX. Awful, awful place.
