Games just don't seem to be as good as long ago and it wasn't immersion so don't mention it. Its like games really have no feel to it I think its cause we need a new thing to move on to. Then 3 months after that we all start gaming again and who knows it might be fun, or maybe its cause all the good ideas we've thought of is either not yet out or after the 17 final fantasy then someone will think about making it. Answer the poll and share your opinion.

The list is updated and there is such a thing as elimination(like if a 3-5 games have at least a 30 vote lead)

Right now its down to Fallout3 with the lead vs. Left 4 Dead

you know its more like a Contest. both of these games will be here next week with different competition but the votes will be reset.

This may upset some people...

Preview to next weeks options: Gears of War2, LittleBigPlanet, Alone in the Dark(hahaha), maybe Dead Space, Resistence2, and Guitar Hero World Tour. BTW you can find some of next weeks games in my other thread now. results tommorow

I feel bad... I only played one of them.

Aw... I thought it might be a thread about Iron Chef.

I've only played Fable 2.

I admit i have not played Fallout 3 yet, but i guess my favorite game out of these is the Force unleashed, even if you don't seem to think it's a serious choice...

not really...

I've yet to play any

just so you know my vote went on mirrors edge

Fable 2 actually. It's pisseasy, and it's hilarious to just go on a rampage and slaughter everyone you see.
So the whole story is a piece of shit, but you have to agree that shooting a guard in the balls and then shooting his head clean of is fucking awesome.

But Fallout 3 is fun, but not as I thought it would be like (maybe because I have just recently unlocked the GNR tower.. hm)

im still playin it and im pretty far
how about you at least finish the game like. thats all im thinking about when i pick up the game and it keeps me goin

Where is the option for people playing quality games?

Dude, use the quote button please. As for your question, I've played all the serious games on there, and I have to say that Fallout 3 was the best by far. Then again, I've pumped 320+ hours into Oblivion, so I might be biased.

although I've HEARD of them all, I've only PLAYED one of them so i can't really choose

Just out of curiosity what games would those be?

What is nazi zombies? That sounds intriguing though I suppose it was just a joke on COD 5's zombie mode.

Fallout 3 ... only cuase I couldn't pick Little Big Planet, I don't have a 360 so there go 2 more options and have not gotten around to the rest.

Fallout 3 is the only game I've played among these and I think thats because I find all others just not for me (except maybe CoD5).

And I'm really baffled by the last poll option, shouldn't it be "I am not emotionally dead, so I have better things to do than play games" or at least no option like this?

I couldn't name any recent ones, to be fair. I just know the one's on the list aren't really up there. While I wouldn't know if Left for dead actually is good, on it's own, or just because of the multiplayer aspect, that is unfortunately common with the type of game, since I haven't played it, the rest are mediocre, at best.

What's really interesting about the list though, is that the concepts behind all of them, with the possible exception of fable, are really solid. The execution however is really bad. They had the potential of being the aforementioned quality(, much more so than any other newish games, apart from maybe Spore that had the same failing,) games, but sadly failed at it, because of the execution.

A quality game would be something tha had both execution, concept and design behind it. I could list a number of old games that perfectly fit this, but that would be the same 10-20 games I list in every other thread here. I suppose Mount and Blade is newish, it was at least released rather recently, and it has these elements, the concept, the design and the execution of the gameplay are all excellent.

I highly suspect that the same is true for The Ship, that I heard about just now and started reading up on, but I can't really say, since I haven't tried it out myself, something I intend to correct shortly.

I suppose the Battlefield games it the cathegory as well, but considering how fast this medium is moving I suspect they are old as well.

Ouch.

I've recently completed LBP.
Rinsed Burnout Paradise.
Starting Uncharted later.

I've played two of these games: Mirror's Edge and Force Unleashed (which shouldn't be on the list - eurgh).

The Iron Ninja:
Aw... I thought it might be a thread about Iron Chef.

I've only played Fable 2.

Or rather his crab...

I'm too young to buy any of these, I have to wait till christmas.

It was a really hard decision for me between Fable Two and Fallout 3, but surprisingly for a Bethesda game, Fallout 3 was more polished, complete, ran better, better combat in my opinion. Although both are steps in entirely different right directions.

I've only played Fable 2 and Left 4 dead so far, not much of a competition to be honest. Mowing down Zombies or Working as a Barman. Hmm...

I spent something like 140 hours over the past six weeks on (in?) Fallout 3. It's got its faults, in spades, but it's crack pressed into disc form.

I do look forward to getting Mirror's Edge in the New Year, though. The rest really don't tempt me.

I have played none of these games, so I went with Emotionaly Dead. Most of these games have been released farily recently so unless you have tons of free time (and money/torrents) I don't think you would have played them all. So how can you expect any one to have an informed oppinion about all these games?

I loved Fable 2 a lot, but the fun factor in Left 4 Dead is just so high that it's easily my favorite. I jump on that game with a group of friends and we just end up laughing and having a great time.

Fable 2 easily.

That line made me laugh pretty hard. Crack pressed into disc form!!!

There is no secret ingredient! [/Kung-Fu Panda joke]

Such a hard choice for me between Fallout 3 and Mirror's Edge. Fallout 3 has a massive world, with hours and hours and hours of content, but Mirror's Edge had truly outstanding pace and gameplay.

Ultimately, I went for Mirror's Edge just from the fact that I never got tired of it, but I have been bored in Fallout.

yea i never understood why there is a choice i mean just put quote and take out the other one, the reply button problem i have is just that im used to youtube and migrated to watch this site with a profile and all so im still getting used to clicking quote. Sorry everyone also angered at me for being an idiot with good ideas(im not sarcastic im serious!!!)

hypothetical fact:
What is nazi zombies? That sounds intriguing though I suppose it was just a joke on COD 5's zombie mode.

its not a joke(though Force Unleashed was cause i didnt enjoy the fact that it wasnt also a movie) i thought it was so good that it needed its own thing which i just rememberd...I FORGOT LITTLEBIG*MOTHERF%^KING*PLANET!!!!!!!!!

LOL, it looks like i said *MOTHERF KING!!!*

Lucane:

Yea that would be my bad i'll fix that

Fallout 3 all the way. To me that game is just too immersive (gotta love the people from Andale).

Attention everyone while i wont close this one there is going to be another poll that has different games coming up soon and also by me its clled "The ingredient isn't" instead of picking best you pick which one out of them all is worst(im not putting up Alone in the Dark, these games are good) its sorta like picking one that you wouldnt pick in a list of what games you think is good, the poll will be hard for some but for most this will be fun i make the poll fun to talk about so maybe people will come back and talk trash about how they will beat each other on Halo or CoD5/4. keep polling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

THE COMPETITION IS INTENSE BUT FOR THIS WEEK UNTIL NEXT ITS DOWN TO FALLOUT3 AND LEFT 4 DEAD, TWO DESERVING TITLES

I've found that Fallout 3 really took me in. I've loved pretty much every bit except for the subway stations. I do not care for those one bit.
