Hope you guys don't use those big whip on the wall... Anywho, if i had to choose it'd be that character I created in Smackdown vs. Raw 2009, his name was "Disco Bitch", a midget with a massive afro. His finisher was 10 successive punches to the groin. Was almost an instant K.O. A real video game character that I love would be Scorpio from MK, or Jansen from Lost Odyssey. He was the only character I liked in the game, well Kaim in the written parts because he wasn't a brooding asshole. And Sarah cause she had showed some pretty nice cleavage. Something about librarian girls that make me go HOWWWWWWLLL |

Haha, well I actually think they were both fairly badass but whatever. You all seem to be forgetting Klonoa though for some reason, probably the most adorable creation ever in videogame story telling. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1515 Joined: 12 Dec 2007 | Andrew Ryan from Bioshock. His character is pure genius. He is imposing and unpredictable. His unorthodox attitudes towards society are frightening yet undeniably coherent and logical in their own way. He presents himself as a composed and dignified man, you can almost see his Machiavellian calculations in his eyes as he addresses you. He has a callous disregard for the lives of those who oppose him, he manipulates his followers and and will willing sacrifice them on a whim. He is wholly unpredictable and you can't help but feel his sorrow as his personal utopia has collapsed around him. |

God I loved that guy... The Legacy of Kain didn't even appeal to me until he came around... |

Most of the way through he's typical Ganon; "muhahahahaha must get Triforce", but the monologue he gives just before you fight him actually gives him character and almost makes you feel sorry for him. It's great. And then his last line in the game... amazing (I'm not putting it in here because I don't know how to do that spoiler thing). |

On the Record Posts: 5161 Joined: 13 Dec 2008 | Sephiroth gets my vote though, and Cloud, for their ubercoolness :) I mean, a sword that always kills like as soon as it touches you, that has to be doing something right (or wrong, depending on your point of view...) |

Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 865 Joined: 15 Dec 2008 | I think everyone is gonna hate my characters, but oh well. Scorpion from MK: The fact that a character this well developed came from a fighting game is just illogical. Scorpion is awesome on so many levels. Aerith from FFVII:. I like her because she doesn't fall into the standard trap of gaming girls. She's not a Lara and she's not Peach. She has her Peach moments, but unlike Peach level characters she actually evolves throughout her story into something meaningful. Tommy Vercetti from Vice City: Ray Liotta's voice acting was dead-on. And what could have been a crappy two-bit character was a made into a highly enjoyable anti-hero. Pac-Man: Simply for the nostalgia factor. Pac-Man was the first game I ever really glommed on to. I think that's it, I don't think I've ever really given a rat's ass about any other characters. Maybe a bit of a rat's ass, but not enough to list them here. |
