Beat Writer  Posts: 179 Joined: 24 Dec 2008     | O I have a better one that that. Before the first patch Fallout 3 had the huge tendency to make vital characters freeze. Here I was 1 quest away from the end and the game suddenly froze the Brotherhood of Steel girl making her unable to move and thus making it unable for me to finish the game and the thing is. You can't kill her. So if you shoot her through the head or blow her up a couple of times Bethesda pulls the big one of making em faint for a few seconds and than get back up on their feet still standing still. At this point the game was no longer saying 'fuck you' it had me dangling of a cliff hanging on a silk thread while holding a torch near that thread softly giggling. But I refused to fall down so I opened my save file had her made killable. Killed her once and when she stood up she walked. So I had successfully kicked the games ass into the cliff and was dancing on his grave when it hit me with the god awful ending and making me die because I was stupid enough to go into that death trap machine. |

Anytime you max out your health and go into critical mass between missions. you'd think that when you start a mission, you'd have full power. But, no. instead, when you start a mission, Hulk decided he was gonna chill out a little bit, and you start the mission with only most of your power. A minor little bitch, but seriously, WTF!? You're the frigging Hulk! |

In addition to another army of hybrids and a fair amount of unshielded(but still a pain) drones they give you not one not two but three stalkers...sigh... |

Ahh i love dark messiah. If its combat was put into oblivion then there you would have a truely amazing game. Left 4 dead is all about "fuck you" and is amazing for it. One player will go afk and be the only one left alive/with medikit/outside a saferoom/spawn as tank. |
Copy Clerk  Posts: 106 Joined: 16 Nov 2008    | Fallout 3: I go to dukovs place and attack an enclave soldier, and the eyebot, I loot the body and take the cell key, I open the cell and see a deathclaw, I have never seen one so far and ignore it because it doesn't seem to want a fight. (I'm pretty glad about this as I have no stimpaks and have low health after a lot of fighting). I go into dukovs place and get his key. When I exit the house the deathclaw is standing infront of me and has decided I look quite tasty. Needless to say I die without getting an attack away. I reload in dukovs place get out my chinese assault rifle. I exit the house and the deathclaw is gone... I walk forward a few steps and die. Turns out I had opened the door walked past the deathclaw, closed the door and then it let me take control. I also lockpicked the average door to get into rivet cities marketplace, at night, suddenly noticed another door going out on the othe side (after nicking as much as I could) I walk out, find I'm stuck outside turn around and discover that the door I have just come out of has magically locked itself and is very hard, way past my skill level. That pissed me off. At least you can do wait. |

Before anyone jumps on me and starts saying that I should have expected this, seeing as its the hardest difficulty, lemme speak first. The absolute fucking canyon that the game puts between how much damage you do and how much he does, and well as his health and your health is rather... jarring, especially when you see his absolute FU attacks in the first 2 forms (AKA: The Bullshit, Block-breaking headbutt thing in the 1st form, and the Even more Bullshitty wind up punch that can destroy over half of your health). This was a massive FU moment. |

In Alien vs. Predator 2: I was running around in the Alien Campaign kicking ass and taking names (I was out of gum), when I finally killed EVERYONE. So I look around and find a corridor. The last thing I heard was a wirrr click sound. Then the four sentry gun simultaneously turned me into tuna casserole. In Company of Heroes: The announcement that artillery had been moved closer to my base facilities, and the sight of it blowing apart my primary HQ and vaporizing my carefully built bridge defences. My brothers moment in Populous: The Beginning: My brother had built an army of immense proportions. It numbered in the 90's (a hell of a lot for Populous) with more being made. I was playing multiplayer with him, and our two island bases were connected by a long thing spit of land, meeting at an island with a giant stone head on it. I looked at his army, then examined my own twenty soldiers. I cast a few illusion spells on them, to make them seem like 40, then sent them of with one last spell for which I had forsaken all others and my population growth speed for. My brothers vast army arrived, with his shaman in a balloon following them, and slammed into my own tiny force. I saw the look on his face when a full half his army flew into the air on fire, while the other half was systematically slaughtered. He then broke our agreement and simply blasted my troops with lightning, but I had one for once, and while he said that using a spell that makes all your troops the Incredible Hulk is cheating, I replied that this was revenge for all the times he had cheated in Civilisation. I could use a whole thread for that story. P.S. Sorry this post is so long and cliched, but I'm new. And nervous. Sorry. |

You can always get out; I got stuck once on a rock and after 5 minutes of squirming I was freed. Same thing happened a lot to me in Oblivion but you can always get out. |

When trying to get the "Test of Faith" achievement on Mirror's Edge, there are a lot of parts where there was a heavy machine gun guy, somewhere in the back of the room. It wasn't really a problem for awhile, but in chapter 9, when you go into the final guard fight, it was hell. Its in the giant room where you have to blow up the servers. I seriously had to attempt that fight about 40 times, It was like the game was yelling "haha, fuck you" whenever i died. GRAHHH! |

In garrys mod, when you finally finished building that awesome whatever-of-yours, that 12y/o admin comes and fucks it up :/ In audiosurf, playing mono-easy-score-shizz for the relaxation, hitting the last gray only to break your stealth AND your clean finish. Or a last glowing colorful block, that tempts you to pick it, and then the song ends, and you woulda' made it to the highscores ONLY IF you had that clean finish... |

I knew right away that adding another 4 racers to the usual 8 was just going to result in a lot more screw-overs from items than usual. But the real kicker for me was this: It's the last lap of the race, and I'm literally a few feet from the finish line, in first place, well ahead of everyone else. A red shell comes and slams into me. Before I can move an inch ANOTHER red shell comes and nails me. As I take another inch forward, a f***ing blue shell blows me to hell. At this point, while I'm desperately trying to inch my way toward the finish, two racers blow by me, putting me in third. F*** you, Mario Kart Wii. Never again. |

Gran Turismo 4. 17 hours into a 24 hour marathon race.....the Fing power goes out. GGGGGRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAHHWHWWHWHRRRRRRR!!!! That's alot of time to lose...Sad thing is the power was only out for about 20 seconds. |
Paperboy  Posts: 28 Joined: 2 Jan 2009 | sorry bout the spelling kotor 2when you play as mira against hanharr miras like lvl 8 and hes like in the 20 and you have to win or you cant continue any time gametap messes up and you have to start a game you lost progress on all over jak 2 when you have to get a peace of the seal of mar and all the kg come to the docks and if you fall in the water you get shot by a small invencable robot any stratagy game where if you put evryone on diffrent teams and they deside to work together against you halo 3 the orical fight johnson shot me with the sparten lazer when he died assassans creed anytime freeruning screwed up and i fell to my death metroid prime corruption falling metaridely battle i didnt scan him caust the power beam is pisswip and i couldnt get 100% compleate i know theres more i just cant think of any right now |

I cant wait until i try to beat it on veteran :*( A F**K You moment i have: In Cod WaW when a point blank shotgun blast does not kill someone but a probably non-fatal cut in the arm from a knife always ensures death. Totally ridiculous. Also dealing with knives, when i hear the sound of my knife ripping through some poor guys flesh and i hear the blood flying out but the dude is still alive. I mean, what gives? |
