Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game That or Eragon for the PSP.
How about Eragon for everything?
I want to say Enter the Matrix, but I know that it's one of the countless shitty gameboy games that I got for christmases and birthdays when I was young. Animorphs was a book series and a TV show, and to the best of my knowledge not a movie, but the game was so terrible that I'm submitting it anyway.
Doom- for trying to Explain everything with science, rather then Demons Hitman- for trying to give him feelings and alter the plot of the hitman universe the game created in the first place Resident Evil- the Movies were Made Solely for the Character 'Alice' and no other reason then that, and to Cash in
I've never played it but it deserves the title simply for the name! And the idea!
Dude. Definitely ET for Atari 2600. It's well known for being the absolute worst game ever made. I've played the game and I'll testify that "worst game ever" isn't even a matter of opinion. It's an indisputable fact. Rumors are that thousand of copies of this game are buried in a landfill in the deserts of Arizona.
This was my contribution to the last 2 "worst movie game" threads that have been up in recent weeks.
Harry Potter 4,5,6. | |
ET. | |
If you are talking worst movie based off a game, then it has to be Super Mario Brothers hands down. Worst game based off of a movie, then ET for all time and Jumper for the modern game systems
New Mexico, actually, but no rumor. And, as a copy of the game sits not ten feet away from me in the next room, I have to agree that this wost movie game ever. They're all bad (go ahead, prove me wrong), but this the worst, bar none.
Thanks for the correction. I can prove you wrong: Goldeneye! Escape from Butcher Bay should also get a nod along with a few Star Wars games like Rogue Squadron. I'm not sure that these are eligible as they're games that take place in a movie world, but don't follow the plotline of a movie.
Anything by Uwe Boll. | |
Topic is asking about games made from movies. But you're right. Uwe Boll sucks. His most shining moment is challenging his critics to a boxing match in Jamie Kennedy's movie, Heckler.
For me, probably Beowulf for the Xbox 360, totally awful. I also agree that Transformers was very bad.
The Golden Compass, without a shadow of a doubt.
...Why would you play that? It's like stabbing yourself in the hope that it doesn't hurt that much.
ET because I have read all about the damage that did. Star Wars Episode 1 too. I only got it because my sister gave it to me as a birthday gift, she didn't know better bless her.
I read some terrible reviews, got it off eBay for 3 pounds, and gave it to a friend for a joke Christmas present (we both had previously discussed how awful it was). Actually it turned out to be a great present as we had hours of fun laughing at how terrible it was.
ET, hands down, it doesn't get worse than that
The Eragon books were nothing short of awesome! But then the film came out...THAT was a real big let down. And then the game came out and...there's not much to say about that really is there? It's just plain BAD!
Harry potter 4. I have never touched the books, movies or games after playing that. It scarred me.
I don't play movie based games because last I've checked, every single game based off a movie sucks.
There are soooo many to choose from
The first one was bad, but the second is really funny. For me is the best movie game ever No love for Catwoman? XD
Hey Arnold! The Movie: The Game
What about the Toy Story games? Oh my god, they were just plain bad! Is Lair a bad game? I mean, it does look good but i've not seen any reviews about it.
Now, everyone will quote Goldeneye for this person. And, at the time, I'll admit, everyone loved Goldeneye. For the time, it was actually really good. Also, it scores in the mid- to high nineties on metacritic. Furthermore, if you put any stock in reviews, check metacritic for Escape From Butcher Bay. Those reviews (both reviewers and users) point to a game based off a movie that does not, in fact, suck. This person has taken a generally good rule (games based on movies are usually poorly done) and pushed it too far (painting EVERY game based on a movie with the same brush). This, folks, is what we call a fallacy, and something to be avoided. I guess he either hasn't checked since pre-1997 or didn't check very well. Yay for logic!
I tend to stay away from movie games, so the choice lies between Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and X-Men: Wolverine's Revenge, the latter being slightly worse than the former.
The Godfather the game was "not bad". This mentions a lot of the games I hate:
ET for the Atari | |

Tell me: you hear such shit from Gametrailers and such how pretty much every game based on a movie is shit, so what do you think? What is the worst movie game you've ever played? Now, I don't have a response because personally I avoid these games in gener-oh wait...Transformers. It was SHIT. I own the one for the PSP. Dictates what side you're on, controls were probably designed by a retarded leper. So anyways...yeah please post.
