Given the trend I'm noticing (Most Annoying...), I wanna know:
What kind of gamer annoys you the most?

I have a special hate spot for people who, when playing in internet cafes, feel the need to give running commentary at the top of their lungs. I get that smack talk and the occasional whoop or battle-cry is part of the game, I really do. But there's a difference between "OWNED! F***ING OWNED!" and "OHMYGODI'MGONNAKILLYOUI'MRIGHTTHEREHAHAHASHOTGUNMOTHERF****RHAHAHAHB*TCH" To me, that's the real-life equivalent of typing in ALL CAPS

That's online gamers SPECIFICALLY. People who sit beside you while you play Tetris can be just as annoying.

people who sing into their headsets while playing the fucking game, like CoD4 or something like that.

I know I could just mute them but i feel that muting them disconnects me from the whole "community" of gaming. But for christ's sake, its an Online multiplayer FPS, not FUCKING KAREOKE (i don't know how to spell it)

I agree with the trash talking, but not from 10 year olds specifically. I've heard grown adults whine and generally act very arrogant online, while at the same time I've seen younger games being polite and mature, so I'd say age, while possibly a guideline, should not be used to generalize against people. Yes, younger people sometimes have squeaky annoying voices, but it's not like they can help that, can they?

Basically, the sort of gamers that annoy me are the ones that take the game too seriously or generally act snobby or annoying to other players. The sort of people who's only goals seem to be whoring ranks or achievements, constantly accusing people that kill them of "hax" and calling them derogatory names.

I mean, it's a game. If you're not having fun, you're missing the point.

Well, I've been playing SSBB with other people online on basic brawl. I like the game and to see how well others stack against me. (Though I'm usually the first to die, which really annoys me XP) I've won only a couple of times, but in the end I have fun with it.

What I find really annoying in these matches are some of the people who choose not to get involved in the fights.

Here's an example.

A couple days ago I got on my Wii and joined a group of fighters. There was Pikachu(me) Star Fox, Ike (God I hate him), and Luigi. We all fought on the Zelda stage. Pretty big place to fight. Anyway soon as the match starts me, Fox and Ike are already at eachothers throats.

Explosions, fire, eletricity cover the screen. Its only thirty seconds into the game and I'm the first one to go flying through the air courtesy of Ikes cheep smash attack. DX
during my little flight in orbit though. My screen pans out and reveals to me Luigi settling on the VERY EDGE OF THE ARENA USING THE TAUNT BUTTON REPEATEDLY!

Now the taunt doesn't annoy me. The fact that he hadn't been damaged or even moved from his spot did. I decided to try and involve him in the brawl. We exchange a few blows before Star fox and Ike decide to join the fray. Soon I get stuck between the two fighters and I did my best to introduce them to Pikachu electric spin attack.

By the time they hit the air. I suddenly realize something. . .

Luigi is gone, AGAIN!

...wtf?

Curious, I run away from the fighters and soon find Luigi already settling himself on the OTHERSIDE OF THE SCREEN AGAIN!

By the time I try to reach him though, the annoucers last countdown comes on. So with only a few seconds left, I rush over to Luigi wanting to KO him at least ONCE before the fight was over. His damage was around eighty to hundred percent maybe. . . I kinda forgot. But I was sure it had to be high, because I used Pikachu rocket smash move and flew through the air. Wanting to send Luigi through the wall.

That was when the player suddenly showed me Luigis special downward smash attack just he dodged my attack, putting me right over the stage and smashing me down to hell. Gaining him a point.

Once the clocks gone. We suddenly have a sudden death match. Can you guess who?

If you guesed Ike and Luigi than I hate you, because your right. In the end, It was Luigi that won that little fight. Letting his ass become to winner of the match while me and Fox shared third place.

After that event, I think I used the "F" word so loud that my neighbors dog started to bark because of it.

Moral of the Story?

I really hate squatters.

But seriously people. I try to play the game to have some fun. The luigi guy won only because he didn't actually involve himself in the part of the game that actually involved BRAWLING. That annoys me so much. I'm sick of just thinking of it.

A couple other squatters appeared in my matches, but thankfully, none of them won.

Like I said before, don't be a squatter, just play the game already. I don't care if its apart of some fancy cheap strategy. It's lame and unfair to other people who want to match their skills against other people and win. Not let someone else do all the work for them and then claim the kill with one attack.

Single-player diehards like me who refuse to play with other people. We're the thorn in the side of developers and other gamers demanding big, rich singleplayer worlds.

That's me as well, to an extent. I far prefer singleplayer games, although I do dabble now and then. Source games especially are great for multiplayer, however, and games like Left 4 Dead , Half Life 2: Deathmatch and Garry's Mod (along with most Source mods) are pretty much the only online games i play.

Also, people who play shitty dance music into their poor quality mics, making a kind of tinny makeshift euro-rave, which no-one wants when they're playing a bit of Age of Chivalry now do they?

There's only one thing I hate more than kids little kids talking on a mic and that's people insisting on talking on a broken mic... It ranges from curling paper to nails on chalkboard.

I was not demeaning all the ten year olds, just the ones who trash talk. I can handle adult trash talk, but when little kids do it..it just sets me off, and I get pissed.

I know I'll be crusified for saying this but I think the most annoying gamer is either the MMO player who ends up speaking in real life the same way they talk in the MMO (eg. saying lmao instead of laughing, saying OMG! instead of OH MY GOD! and so on) or the FPS player that thinks their better then everyone and has to bad mouth and put down every player before and during an online match, then if they lose they say your a hacker or you cheated the game(pretty much everyone I played in COD4, Halo 2&3, Counterstrike and Quake 3[Most of the Xbox Live players I've played against in short])

People who can't turn off their fucking mics when they talk to family, and the people who have their mics IN their mouth so that when they breathe you hear it.

Getting this out of the way, I like Ike. Now then, I would like to share a story. Let me know if you agree that this is retarded. I usually play team battles. I was playing as Fox my "teammate" was diddy kong. I don't entirely remember the opponents though. We fought on final destination. For those of you who don't play Brawl final d is the only stage with no obstacles in the way. The match began My teammate ran to the edge of the stage I ran to the other team and we fought. I was doing surprisingly well, I held my own against 2 players. The other team started to turn the fight around at the end. The time limit was up, and my team won. BUT, after a fight the person who overall did the best gets a wreath around their place number. Guess who got it? My fucking teammate. I saved a replay and when I watched it I found out Diddy bong just stayed away from the fight and spammed his projectile to steal my kills. But you are lucky they didn't decide to abuse a character like Kirby or Sonic.

I'd like to nominate the particular brand of self-styled "Hardcore" gamers, who refuse to play any game that doesn't feature Grizzled Space Marines (tm) shooting Xenomorph ripoffs in an environment where everything looks gray for no discernible reason.

Many might not know what I'm talking about but I'll try to explain. A wana-be gamer who doesnt know the controlls of a game but for some god forsaken reason wont read the tutorials or book. Then asks me to tell them what button performs a certain action or to complete a part for them. These are not just young children but have included 16 to 24 year olds. I AM NOT YOUR PERSONAL HELPER MONKEY.

Like how the exact same thread is on the first page in Gaming Discussion. That really annoys me, especially since you wouldn't need the Search button to see it. Not to be a buzz killer but seriously, even on the Home page this thread was displayed right under the other "Most Annoying Gamers" thread. Anyway it would have to be those people that talk smack at the beginning of the game and then they lose, badly.

Those retards who screem and make noises and SING down the mic on cod4 And 5 and most online FPS shooters then when your able to mute them,they all suddenly be quite... -.-

Those dorks in big team matches (5 or more) that start teamkilling when the chips are down. I suppose they figure that there's no way we can catch up and win, which is a perfectly acceptable (if a bit pessimistic) attitude to have. When they start assassinating teammates as soon as they spawn, though, is when it becomes a problem.

Fighting game players who spam one move endlessly, ie, Ryu's Hadouken, Kilik's multi-poke, Liu Kang's Bicycle Kick, Fox's laser. It's not that this strategy makes them particularly difficult to beat, it's just annoying.

Achievement whores. Generally, I don't have a problem with gamers who like to beef their gamerscore by getting every last achievement. It's when they come into Matchmaking begging everyone to help them boost that I get annoyed. On the plus side, it usually provides me with a convenient whipping boy for the duration of the match.

I think the most annoying gamers are the twelve year olds that for no reason;enjoy spouting needless phrases such as "I am the king of this game!" or my favorite "Don't kill me!" That last one is great when your playing Halo.
