I think that I'm going to go with.....

Those crocodile daedra's from Morrowind......they were human, not very intimidating at all.

So when I played Oblivion and spotted one at a distance, my mind automatically assumed it to be the same.

3 seconds and an arrow with the words "Here to piss you off" inscribed in the shaft that bounced off the hulking brute's eyebrow, I realized how wrong I was.

Simply because the thing ran up and my screen shook and I heard "thuds" with it's footsteps, and then all I seen was scaly chest as I realized it didn't fit IN my range of view.

Either those.....or the Deathclaws from Fallout 3.

WTF?!?!?!?! T^T

Lambent Brumaks.

Those annoying Flood in Halo 3 that can shoot you with their own weapons and climb on walls, not to mention being able to upgrade in front of you to bigger and more terrible things!

The weird overgrown ticks in Farenheit. Or the wizard that turned you into a bandicoot-frog in Crash Bandicoot *insert number?*. His glassy-eyed stare and pointy hat influenced my 9-year-old brain in odd ways.

Las Plagas monsters from Resi 4
Replicators from Resi 4

Badniks from the original 2d Sonic games ... "You trapped small fluffy animals in metal casing to power evil robots? You sick bastard!"

The Orphanage level from Painkiller (flaming children running at you for a hug, do not want).

The Stone doors in Fable 2 deeply upset me. Something about the animation. Don't like it.

I think that I'm going to go with the centaurs in Fallout 3. Those things surprised the hell out of me the first time that I saw one. There are also some pretty weird monsters in the Final Fantasy games. (tonberry, cactuar)

I found the final boss in Doom 2 to be fairly freaky, although you need to cheat in order to see what it really is. You walk through the wall to find the thing that's been leading the demon invasion and the target you have been blindly shooting at is just a head on a spike. WTF?

Late in Baldur's Gate on the PS2 there were these big green jelly cubes. I don't know what they were. Nothing else like it in the game. Raaaandom...

What penis monster is this? I've played through the half-life series a fair few times, admitedly not recently, but I don't recall any penis monsters. Do elaborate :P

It's actually supposed to be John Romero's head. When the final boss first sees you he also says "To win the game, you must kill me, John Romero", only backwards.

Ah, it's from a webcomic I read. The main character gets attacked by a big gelatinous cube (a monster from the Dungeons & Dragons game, I believe) which keeps yelling "CUBE!". It's very funny, but fairly random and it was unlikely that you recognised it. That's why I said sorry in advance.

Giant poo monster from Concker's Bad Fur Day, drowning you in poop whilst singing you out.

Anyone familiar with D&D wouldn't consider random cubes of goo to be weird. Compared with the bullshit in the later Monster Manuals, lumps of acidic goo is perfectly normal!

Anyway, my vote goes to the "Head" monster in Dynamite Headdy. Being attacked by a giant clockwork baby head that shoots laser beams is very, very disturbing.

I don't know what their called....

But those enemies in the asylum level in Painkiller, the ones in the strait jackets with the electrified helmets... who explode when they get near you...
They just run at you making muffled screaming noises....
Creeped me right the fuck out.

This explains why they were in the game I guess.
So, thanks.

I don't know the name of the characters but in condemned 2 there are these huge fat monsters with metal arms (I think) that can't really do anything to you because all you have to do is hide and use a big magnet to pick them up and get rid of them, another drawback to having big metal arms, lol. And when I was 8 years old I remember Motaro (or whatever his name was) in Mortal Kombat III, was kind of weird and creepy, though kind of funny as well, specially when he used his tail to attack me.

Pyramid Head is the scariest monster for me, but the weirdest has to be a toss up between this http://silenthillbg.com/images/silent_hill_v_monster_siam.jpg and this http://www.gamershell.com/static/screenshots/10121/214287_full.jpg

Hope I won't give anyone nightmares by posting these pics...

Resident Evil 4's Regenerators are weird and super-creepy. There's also a boss in Skies of Arcadia, can't remember the name of it. But it's basically a giant translucent blob that pukes on you. I know a lot of videogame enemies have "vomit" attacks, but this one's genuinely horrific.
