What do you think, the previews so far look promising, and double-fine has a good track record. But will it be another Too Human?

It looked kind of stupid to me. Granted, I haven't looked all that closely outside of the odd magazine article... I guess I could be surprised.

I recently saw the newest trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM5lMHbq9j8 and it really seems like it's gonna be a great game. I'm a big fan of Jack Black and Double Fine (especially after Psychonauts) and it just looks like it's gonna be a good one.

Oh god no. I have hopes for it but the average high class reviewer would think it is garbage.

I will rent it and see how it plays out.

Looks to me like they're ditching the Psychonauts IP to do a tongue-in-cheek game about Death Metal starring Jack Black. It'll be hilarious, but leave Psychonauts fans wanting... perhaps forever.

I'll see, I haven't played psychonauts admittedly but I heard t was good. If we're lucky they'll parody everything in a away. Like the whole nun, nope big ugly demon, thing, but even that wasn't LOL-able in my opinion (could've been phrased better if you ask me). Also hope that the guitar doesn't overshadow a lot of the other things. This is just me but I don't think guitars are that awesome. I can understand that you can use it as a weapon, but now it sees cliched and... not remotely interesting now. Also i think there should be much more violence, it is called Brutal Legend though. Granted, this is the most I've seen of the game so I might be completely off and irrelevant.

I really did love Grim Fandango and psychonauts, and Jack Black is one of the better stars out their. But from what iv'e seen this game could be a potential train wreck. I really have high hopes for it though.

I will admit that I found Psychonauts hysterical, so I have high hopes for the game. And while I hate Jack Black's music, I'll admit he's an above-average comedian.

I want it as bad as I want Hothead's Deathspank.
According to ron Gilbert I promised to buy 50 copies of that though. Will have to see if I can afford some legendary brütality.

It looks awsome. I've said it before, I'll say it again, They will really have to try to make me not like this game.

My thoughts? Its the only game I'm hyped for next year.

Psyconauts is one of the funniest games I've ever played, plus I love Jack Black (his music is pretty bad, but I like a lot of his movies). This is truelly a match made in heaven.

There are few games where I'm excited more for comedy than the gameplay. In fact, Brutal Legend is probley the only game where I'm more hyped about how much its going to make me laugh.

The sad thing is, I'd be so much happier with Psyconauts 2. We'll never know what happens to Raz, and thats a stake though the heart.

It looks awesome, but unless a PC port comes out or the PS360 come up with more exclusives to draw me, I won't get a chance to play it and, well, I'm not one to get hyped about things I can't have.

That aside, let me just say that this would be one of the aforementioned exclusives.

It does look mighty fine, although I can't quite see it being the BEST GAME EVAR.
My prediction: mediocre gameplay dragged kicking and screaming into a good quality title by an oddball story and funny, funny jokes. In essence, a reskinned Psychonauts (the trailer even shows a forcepalm move).

Looks like an original idea, gonna wait and see, it may end up rushed...

There are a few things wrong with the game's premise, and one of them is Jack Black. Another one is that the theme is just not appealing to me. As someone who lives and breathes metal, I don't find this "metal is awesome!!!11" attitude to be the least bit funny. It wasn't funny when it was parodied years and years ago, and it's not funny now. In fact, I get the impression that it only appeals to people who don't like metal, and only because they haven't heard the jokes a million times by now. I could be wrong, of course, but the trailers have left a bad taste in my mouth.

The creator of Psychonauts plus Jack Black, making a game where his creative mind is totally free since no one's been to hell, adapting it's themes to Rock/Metal with the same Humour, cleverness and over the top enemies from the same genre of Psychonauts....... You tell me, how can THIS go wrong?

I for one am REALLY hyped for this... I just hope I'm right and that I won't be disappointed since this finally seems what I've been praying for, a new IP with originality and no Space Marines in sight.

I can't wait for this game to come out. I really hope that I won't be disappointed.

It seems, first off, a major parody of all the Guitar Hero games coming out lately.

Second, hopefully a good (and possibly open world) slash-n-smash, a la Diablo with the clicking taken out, and maybe some item customization.

Although, the changing of weapons also reminds me of Sand of Time. Might be a lot like that as well.

It will contain the pure seed of awesome.

Until they do the Boys themselves, the 40K marines, i say Space Marines will never cease to roll out of developers dens. Do the best, developers, and quench our need for them, do the best and we will ask no more.

On a second note: I must buy this game, and then buy it again.

Oh, well, as far as I can remember, the first game to actually have space marines is Doom.

What I want to know is who's giving Tim Schaefer money to make games when his last few projects have sold about as well as chocolate-covered AIDS with bubonic plague frosting. It's almost as if the publishers are saying "we'll throw money down the rabbit hole but we'll get a reputation as supporting indie developers." If anyone needs me I'll be over here patiently waiting for Empire: Total War and Hearts of Iron 3.
