So, they had Sims, Sims Hot Date and Holiday and all sorts.

Then they moved onto a improved version giving more options with Sims 2 where they remade and improved the old games.

They're now releasing Sims 3. What do we think? You reakon this'll be a good game or just a copy of the last games?

I think it will be slightly more in-depth, but not much different

Same game, slightly better graphics, more furniture.

I think the original sims had near perfect construction of the "Here are the people, you are god..have fun!" concept.

They honestly have no need to improve it, but they still make more =/

The sims 2 was pushing it, with the new graphics, but I think sims 3 is going a bit over the top.

I enjoyed multiplayer sims 2 on the playstation. I had wish that feature had been included into the PC version.

I very much enjoyed going over to my sim-friends' houses starting fires, clogging toilets, and eating all their food. I mean, I do that in real life anyway, but in the sims, you don't get in trouble.

Only if the sims 3 has more realistic fire, since that is all anyone ever did with the game.

The Sims 2 and expansions.. one of the few games I did not feel bad for pirating. The other few were Far Cry 2 and Spore..

I'm not sure why, but I laughed so hard that I couldn't type for a minute or two.
EDIT: OH GOD ON TOPIC POST WAIT NO.
Uhm...Because EA requires every game be released three times? I'm sure there are examples I could think of, but I'm exhausted. Mass Effect, I think? Or maybe that's not EA...ghblah.

I can't find the genie lamp in the Sims 2. That was my favourite part of the 1st game!

I've not read much about Sims 3 but I will most likely get it at some point, afterall, I own the first Sims plus all it's expansions, plus Sims 2.

The 2nd was a great sequel I thought, though it seemed to get to a point where one of the designers or producers were sat at home thinking "how can we expand this" then spotted their dog climbing all over the furniture and a lightbulb suddenly appeared above his head and was switched on...

...ah I guess I think they whored it completely.
