Seriously? I just turned 25 and I feel like I am an ancient in the gaming world, either prove me right or wrong...

Every time I go on Xbox live I am speaking to people half my age most of the time...

I cant help but think of myself as a little too old for it when that happens...

But I love my gaming...so I don't think ill be stopping any time soon.

...Xbox Live is a hive of scum and villainy.
And I am 16. You're not that old. My brother is 31, and he still plays games fairly seriously.

You are a Adult in the gaming World. But there are people that are 40 years old that are still gaming. My brother he is a big time gamer and he is 33,So you aren't really that old, maybe a little a older then some but not to old.

Oh yeah and i am 14.

You are old compared to a lot of gamers but there are some on this website that are twice your age.

I myself am 17.

Also this has been done before and would be better suited for Off-topic. Don't sweat it though, repeating a thread is something people love to call you out on but also something no one really cares about. Funny that.

Ah it's not that you're too old, it's that people under the age of 16 or so seem to be more prevalent on XBOX Live than older people, which is a bad thing I think.

I'm 21 and have, since the mid nineties, been a big gameplayer, XBOX Live no exception. I can't stand the amount of kids with high-pitched voices, squealing obscenities at other people in Call of Duty 4 or any other game for that matter.

That whole chocolate milk incident i've heard so much about should be turned into an advert against giving kids computer games.

Oh and don't worry, there are many people my age, your age and older that play the 360, for instance, a friend I used to work with is 54 and regularly I seem him playing all sorts of games.

I'm 29 and am the median in my group of gaming friends.

Im 17 and its good that gaming isnt only for kids anymoore. i now few 20-30 years old gamers so your not really alone with your compassion to gaming

I'm a very mature 13 year old.

I'm 36, but since I plan to still be gaming at twice that age I don't think I'll describe myself as "ancient" just yet! ;-P

The reason Xbox Live has lots of kids on it is because they have more free time, so can stay logged on for longer. Plus I prefer playing face-to-face console games with my daughter to remote play!

I'm 21. Jaded like a 40 year old since I was 14.

Old enough to vote.
Too young to die.

I am 22 and xbox live makes me feel old too. Isn't the core gaming audience males 18-35?...something like that. We aren't too old to game. It is just hard to ignore the kids because they are so damn loud and probably recieve little actual parenting.

14.

Although most games are still teenagers, there certainly isn't anything wrong with the hobby. Gaming is still a young medium and it's always been primarily a kid's hobby. Still, it's getting more accepted by adults and games are getting more mature. It may be unusual for a 14 year old to try and explain why it isn't a bad thing to be into gaming at 25 and that gaming isn't really a kid's hobby anymore and this may be nothing more than a nonsensical ramble but I feel like posting this anyway.

An additional boon of playing face-to-face is that your daughter, unlike some of the twats over Xbox Live, won't scream "FUCK SHIT GODDAMN NIGGER WHORE BASTARDS" every time someone snipes them in the head.
Incidentally, I have a very, VERY low opinion of Xbox Live in general, and the kids who play on it in particular, since I know some of them in person, and while generalization isn't a good thing, they're disgusting human beings, to a man, and that colors my view of the rest of them a very bright shade of contempt.

I'm 25.
I tend to play on PSN because for some reason i run into less children (I.E 12 year olds)

Well I bet you want someone to ask
"What happened when you were 14?"

awwww...

you guys rule

see you on xbox live...

Turned 24 two days ago. I feel slightly old as far as gaming goes. It's like the world of games I've grown up with isn't quite gone yet, but is well on its way...

My dad is 63 and happily playing Starcraft and HoMM ;)

Stop playing live, get on your PC and come playing on O.C. servers. You'll feel young again playing against 40-50 somethings with grown up kids.

Also, 20.

Despite being only 21, I can imagine still playing classics such as Monkey Island, Day of The Tentacle and Kingdom O' Magic(here's wondering who's played that before) when i'm in my 60s, as long as there's a computer around that can play the damn thing.

13 and 3 quaters.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis...

And whoever in here can claim that they played the ORIGINAL street-fighter 2 arcade game when it came into video arcades... YOU RULE!

im 22 and loving it..i still play games hardcore whenever i can....though i do enjoyy watching jag....that makes me feel kinda old...

++ Why is it that the people who always scream "REPEAT!" still post a response?

23. I'm at the wonderful age where all my friends are either getting married, starting grad school, or moving to the other side of the country to do a job they could have done here.

I once proposed "Shall I make an official post-all-the-useless-facts-about-you thread in offtopic" to a red guard, but alas, no reply. I don't think he cares much about it either.

I mean, "What's your favorite color" would easily go in that thread, but this? Your age? My answer:

If I wanted to tell everyone, I would have included it, not wait for someone to ask. 14 is the approximate age anyways, and for the record, my jadedness has nothing to do with some dodgy sexual encounter. Because that's the sort of shit people assume.

I've noticed that the average age for gamers in Australia is about 30, but they play crap like bejeweled and DS games so in my opinion that doesn't count. I'm 23 myself and been gaming for most of my life and my mother is 51 and plays games too(mainly JRPG's) so video games aren't as childish as it was 19 years ago back when I started, if only the South Australia Attorney-General would see that and let the R18+ pass.

And I'm an 18 year old unicorn.

But seriously...I'm impressed if you are, but I remember being 13 as a series of fart jokes and mum jokes. You can leave maturity 'till you're 16+, as it says on the game boxes.

I just turned 20 and I thought I felt old.

Although the person that you're replying to probably isn't particularly mature (the people who claim to be mature without demonstrating it tend to be some of the least mature from my experience), I consider that to be an unfair generalisation. It's absurd to say that you can't be mature if you're under 16 or anything similar. Although most under 16s are immature, there are plenty of exceptions.

I am 17. you really aren't that old.

Yes! 19 and STILL a teenager. But that 18 till I die thing didn't turn out so well...

Im 19, you can never be too old to play video games, as long as you can figure it out yourself

14. At this age, I'm glad I don't have and Xbox 360.

I'm with you man. I'm 20 years, 10 days old and I feel like I'm having my quarter life crisis.
