All generalisations are false! And I meant that while it was unlikely that he/she/it was mature, it's within the realm of possibility :) But this thread is about ages, not maturity! |

If maybe you've read some of my posts you would understand. Also, can't you tell by my writing style? I'm not a "lol wat ur mom is a faget" type of kid. I mean really. People make all these cracks like "Oh yeah? Well you just say Your Mom a lot" without bothering to see any of my other posts. Goddamn this is why I hate the internet. So many people trying to act tough. |
Press Junketeer Posts: 356 Joined: 28 Aug 2008 | 20 years old, feel middle aged. Cynical has hell since the age of 16. Find myself annoyed with some of the people i encounter even of my own age online, but then again i've seen some good examples of maturity in those as young as 15. That seems to be the minimum age for decent behaviour online in my experience. |

Anonymous Source Posts: 4 Joined: 4 Jan 2009 | I'm starting to wonder where the cynicism came into it, but, to prove my worth as a... sherpson(? I dunno, trying to make a sheeple joke here, if that won't earn me the banhammer that is) I'm 18, and about a year younger than most of my friends. We're all big time gamers, but most of us got into it because of relatives, one of my friends has a cousin in his early 30's who got him into gaming and I first picked up the controller all those years ago (at the tender age of 5) because of my now 48 year old dad, though his sense of humor often has people confusing him with a really big 3 year old, but oh the slings and arrows we suffer. My dad's still into gaming, though his budget isn't big enough to really keep up; he mostly plays Sid Meir's Alpha Centauri for the PC these days, though he's a fan of taking a shot at some of my games when I'm not guarding my PS3 like a dog with a bone. As for the cynicism thing: I'm cynical, and have been since I was 15 or so, but my friends are so much worse that I'm considered the group optimist by default. |

Heh, during my time playin' WoW, i somehow end up in a guild run by a 73 year old british lady and her 19 year old grandson. Definitely one of the coolest grannies I've ever encountered. |

Some one who is insulted by being called immature, for if you were mature, you would be the bigger person! Metaphorically speaking. |
Paperboy Posts: 44 Joined: 24 Dec 2008 |
I'm not the type who takes insults. I tried that and it didn't work out too well. The only thing that's making me enraged is that there's no prior knowledge of me doing anything immature. If you find a reason to call me immature then do so. Go on, find it, and I'll leave you all alone. |
Paperboy Posts: 27 Joined: 15 Dec 2008 | Almost twenty - give me another few months and I'll be there. ;-) Tbh, people tell me I come across a lot more older than I actually am - mainly because of the maturity I show in my posts. Well on this particular forum I'm a moderator on, anyway. ;-) |
