Has anyone played it? It was a FPS for the GCN &Ps2 several years ago.

I thought it was underrated, and I was hoping I could discuss it with others familiar.

Yes I've played it and with the exception of some of the enemy's (the ones that fly at you) I found it to be a very good experience, with a very good, if maddening plot. That a developer tried such a leftfield style of gaming in todays environment gave me hope as well.

One of the best games ever made and anyone who doesn't like it is objectively wrong.

I wouldn't exactly call it "underrated" though. In gaming circles it's extremely popular.

I've heard good things about it but never played it, I wish i had but now its near impossible to get Gamecube games, I look out for it whenever I see a Gamecube stand in Game but with a game this good (apparently) who would possibly return it :\

It was stylish to all hell but I found the Gameplay too annoying to be fun.

I've never actually had the chance to play it but one of my work mates said it's absolutely amazing (he's never even heard of Yahtzee so he's not an ass-kisser) and he's happy to lend it to me.

Killer7 is one of my favorite games for the Gamecube. Itīs been a few years since iīve played it, but I am eager to go back to completing it once again.

Itīs was a game who was very hard getting into at first, what with the mysteriously whispering pink gimp and everything, but after level 3, in the texaslike town, I was hooked. The game is fantastic but it really takes some time start loving it. Unfortunately, most people didnīt give it that chance

Intriguing. The gameplay was one of the parts I enjoyed most.

One of my favourite games, on the whole. Insane, multi-layered plot, varied enemies, and charmingly morbid style.

Andrei Ulmeyda changed my perception of afros forever.

No? I must be living in a different circle.

I do admit skewering my eyebrows when attempting to get used to 'A to run, B to backtrack,' but when I got the hang of it, I realized what an artistic out of the ordinary game it was. My favorite character was probably.. well, if you know the characters, then I think you can guess. That damned maniacal laughter was an oddly addictive dose of scared adrenaline.

Killer 7 was very interesting, spectacular at times, but I can't say I actually enjoyed it much. Too much artistry, too little fun.

It's on eBay all the time. Why, there are 14 auctions going on right now!

Its readily available. Its quirky humor and play style does make it a marmite of the gaming world though.

I don't recommend the Ps2 version. I own them both, and the GCN copy has better graphics as well as far superior load times.

I loved that game, but had to return my copy. I recently reacquired it, but I've been having trouble reaccessing my save data.

It was really more of a rail shooter. People say that it is a rare game, but I got my copy for about $5.00 online from gamestop.

I don't want to stray off topic, but...

I thought Gungrave was a rare, expensive game, but I found it pre-played at Blockbuster (returned 3 times!) for $8.00

I got a new copy of this game at Best Buy just last month for ten bucks, no joke. They had a whole stack of them. I like the game a whole lot, it's really crazy and cool and a lot of it resonates with Suda 51's newer game, No More Heroes.

I have to say it is a bit hard on the eyes, however... It's very good that they cleaned and refined the style so much between Killer 7 and NMH. I haven't finished the former just yet but I'm really looking forward to completing this game.

Very few modern games are "rare". Low sales does not equal rarity.

I'm scared of using Ebay, maybe its because all my friends and family that buy things off it from "power users" end up being fakes, or maybe its because i'm a pussy.

Shadow of Collosus, I actually own it, but it doesn't work*.... although the intro is rather sumptious.

* i was keeping it to play it at just the right time, then it does that on me, SoC is like that pretty girl I never asked out and now I regret all the chances I had of fiddling with it/her

can I go and cry now?

I did give it a shot but couldn't fathom the control system. Obviously going to have to give it another go since everyone and their mother says it's superb.

Same happened to me. The tutorial of that game has a lot in common with the tooth fairy in that it doesn't exist.

Here's how you play: every level is a system of rails with items and enemies scattered about. All enemies are invisible until you press the scan button. If you aim at the shiny part on them, you get experience points. Otherwise you just blast them. You can change which of the Killer 7 you're playing as in your inventory. The map marks when you're going to need to use one of their special abilities. Dan is the best character for combat.

As for the plot itself, I think the reason it's so loved is that someone bothered to make a "Go F*** Yourself" plot in terms of complexity and nuance. Not everyone's cup of tea, but it's not like there are many games that can claim this.

Some guy wrote a gamefaq that's basically his thesis on the game. It includes Reaganism, Taoist Gods, and Dualistic Religions.

Got Killer7 on launch for my GC... hmm... it's a tough one to call because it positively drips with charm and wackiness and, erm, Japaneseness (half-naked lawyers shooting brains at you, anyone?) but the gameplay was the definition of mediocre. If it's going cheap, give it a go, but much of the recent feverish popularity seems to stem from Yahtzee's praise of it. I remember very little fuss over it when it came out.

Cheers. I'll have another go if I can find it.
