Ok first and foremost if you like Runescape stop reading now, because this is intended to be a mockumentary in which I flame alot on how our less civilzed gaming bretheren live.

A long time ago I was avid player of this game until I realised it was god awful unless you payed $5 a month which made it just crap awful so I banished it to the 7th level of my own personal videogame hell, until now, I have decided to don the guise of Rawrteh_Uber( I remembered many names like this back in my day) and see if the game has matured any more or less from the last time I entered.

I'll keep you posted on my findings.

(Once again I'm finding a creative way to rag on a game don't take anything here seriously)

Ok Thus far the game has a shiny new coating to it (playing in what they call HD) although all together it's mainly the same, my disguise is that of a tanned muscular super saiyan with a large grizzly beard, I've had no contact with the natives yet however.

I did that with WoW. I left some good men in there, poor bastards... I just might have to go back for WotLK.

i really kinda found runescape depressing after the hd and fullscreen update rubbish! they took it from there to decide with the little extras that no one wants they can higher the prive of the overpriced membership now at this point no one suspected a thing as jagex occupied them with updates to fist of guthix minigame but then as people found out the overpriced membership fee never got anything more then an old cardboard box full of burny chips it got really annoying and know runescape is less popular

As I melt tin and copper into what looks suspiciously like small pieces of cadbury's chocolate I notice something- I've had no interaction because there is no one to be found it seems the flood of ...hold on let me get this right...nublets has slown to a pathetic trickle, I wonder if perhaps the few left are of a dying breed of stupid?

I have entered the true world to see what awaits me watch in horror as I guide you through worlds of people who cannot spell without numbers or shortened terms I fear to fit in I may have to adopt their pattern of speech. Wish my luck my fellow Escapees as I know take the plunge!

Runescape had me hooked for about two months. By that time, I could enter the mining guild and after that, there was nothing more for me to achieve.

I never ever touched a pickaxe in any game ever again. Ok, not really, but still, it's cool to say.

I can't do it I can't bring in such a vulgar and idiotic manner I fear it may show me for what I am though, best to stay quiet I suppose.

Atleast the terrible combat hasn't changed a damned bit :D

As for me, I prefer depth to my gameplay mechanic, and it took only a cursory investigation of Runescape to determine it wasn't there.

its terrible when runescape fanboys argue the case that its better then things like WoW, when you can compair the two...blizzard makes like what millons of dollars a month and spend it on upgrades and shit...runescape really needs to be put out of its misery

My movtivation for playing is best described as "shits and gigs" I can see it's crap for a mile away but I like tricking myself into thinking I'm contributing something atleast half funny to this site.

Hey now, runescape was the thing to play back in the day, A lot of current day MMOs have taken cues from it. Sure, it looks worse than an N64 game, but you try making a 3D MMO in javascript.

Actually, I think its a java applet. java != javascript.

I remember 5 years ago I was a spy. They caught me. They tortured and beaten me with bans and perm mutes but I stayed strong with my mission. I was there, In the non-noob section I became one of them after 4 years of bans. I did it. I made jokes and was the life of my clans. I enjoyed my life and forgot my mission. The ban this time was a mortal wound. I was level 70 in all my skills and was kicking ass with my elite weapontry and armor. I was god with a blue party hat(Most expensive thing ingame) and I made a joke that was a little offensive but who cares since you have to be 13 years old or older to play. I lost it. I was perm muted. Even if it werent a ban it hurt more because how could I talk in this game? How would I communicate with my friends? I eventually terminated myself(the game character of coarse) and moved on. The mission was never completed. Get a noob to cry.

The thing is with runescape it was good at first, however it got boring very quickly, ok the graphics have had an update but its still the same old BORING crap.

Last time, I created my character Rawrteh_uber and havbe attempted to blend in but contact with natives has made me realise, that if I don't want to get caught I may have to stay relatively quiet.

Today: After grinding my ass off on basic money making skills, I prepare to enter the ses-pool of stupid known as the city of Varrock, I think this will be my toughest challenge yet-to make it out with my brain alive.

I remember playing Runescape when I was younger and wasting money and the membership; the game felt like a chore just spending countless hours clicking on a tree getting wood, trying to get what seemed like 10 millions peices of wood just to level up that one skill.
I regret playing that game now; I have gone back to check it's new look but it's basically all the same.

I say it's a young person WoW, they'd play that until they are ready to play a proper MMORPG.
But then again, WoW can be seen as the same as Runescape, just with slightly better extras.

I did that exact thing, then moved to FPSs

Got to lvl 70 and got bored, Then about 2 years later found out about private servers and my god they were fun over 4m of blue party hats and soon became a mod, i could spawn abbysall demons which was also a lot fun doing it in noobie areas, soon got bored again though.

I don't intend to kill, I wish to enlighten and teach but first I have to investigate. I call it Plan: BrainGardener I'm tracking the screamy little swear monkeys to one of the sources, I may be able to save a few.

I suggest you don't adventure for too long just incase, somehow, you get sucked into playing it again.

Due to the odd generosity of someone who seems to have given up (good on them) I have received a higher level new archer character with this my job will be much easier.

I now enter Varrock, I will enter with caution under the guise of my new character.

I think I have been tricked although the reason remains a mystery, anyhow I have lost the other character and have reverted back.

As I travelled into what I was expecting to be a sprawling metropolis of players, I noticed there was barely a sould there then I remembered the games unique server hopping system and I now go to see what this game should truly look like.
