So, iv'e been thinking recently "Is there a gun Controller for the 360?" I looked around google etc. for an existing gun controller and I found nothing, but imagine it, using a gun controller in like halo 3 or gears of war it would add so much depth to the game, like when you use you lancer chainsaw you just move your controller in the way that they do in Gears, It would be simply amazing, What are your opinions on this 360 addon, would it be a popular piece of equpiment, Or have you found a Gun Controller?

Because I want 1080p without the expense of a PS3.

I don't think it would add any real depth to the games.

EDIT: When/If House of the Dead 4 ever comes out for 360 and PS3, then you'll see a good lightgun.

How is the concept of motion controls copying? Using that argument, I could say that CoD4 copied Halo 3 because it has guns in it.

I thought the reason people liked the 360 controller so much was because it was good for shooters. If this is true then why incorporate a 'gun controller'? Not only that, but it would probably suck and it would never be the same as using a lightgun in an arcade.

That part aside, even though I agree, I seriously did think that the Wii/Revolution's development as a motion-controlled system was in existence before the Sixaxis.

EDIT: I think it's a better analogy to say that every system after the NES copied Nintendo's controller. What w/ the whole 2 handed horizontal design. The NES Max is an even better example.

I think everyone is failing to see that I tried to put a little humour into the conversation. Of coarse the Wii made it first.

i highly doubt that bungie or epic will make a light-gun game out of their respective main game franchises, however i'd really like to see a light-gun on the 360, and i hope HOTD 4 isn't the last of its kind. until then i'll stick with time crisis 3 and vampire night on ps2

I think we've managed to evolve past using light guns for our shooters, apart from Wii games which like to remind us where we came from.

honestly though i like Light Gun games, nothing made me enjoy a shooter more then actually holding the gun i'm shooting.

I really do not feel like much of an ass, simply because the sarcasm wasn't detectable. But it seems I have met someone even more skilled at "real" sarcasm than I am. I bow to this "Shurikins and Lightning"
EDIT: That didn't come out as funny as I thought it would. Never mind. I take the bowing back.

Wait, would the 360 even be able to support motion sensitivity?

I remember on the PS1 there use to be a Lightgun for several games; you don't seem to see these games anymore, which is a disappointment.
I don't really want to go to an arcade and play with their lightguns because, well, arcades seem to be dieing out now.

I kinda hoped that the Time Crisis that came out for PS3 would also come out for the Xbox360.

Technically, the sixaxis copied the Power Glove.

Good move there. So many people loved the Power Glove.

lightguns just make me think of acades, getting to the final level of house of the dead and then having to put down the game because I had to see my movie or i ran out of quarters.

No, you don't. I've played it on the PS3 and it's got all the cheapness of a traditional railshooter doubled with a fiddly two handed light gun! Hooray for progress.

One of the few good light guns+ was the Dreamcast one with a little d-pad to the back of the gun where you could slot a v-memory card or a rumble pack.

Oh right, well I enjoy the aracde Time Crisis games and since I haven't got a PS3 and don't really know anyone who owns one, I've never had the chance to play the Time Crisis for PS3.

I did love to play the Die Hard games with a lightgun on the PS1; sure I never got past certain levels without either cheating, but it really had an arcade feel.

And this is what im getting at, if they added a system to the light guns so that you could also control movement of the character and shooting controls could you imagine how much fun halo or any FPS would be?

I remeber that there use to be an arcade game that I use to love to play that took a picture of your lovely face and used it on the person you control while you played. :)
And you used a lightgun that was connected to a metal thingy which was on a movable plate, and you could push the gun forwards to move forwards and side to side to turn around, it was pretty sweet; wish I remember what it was called.

But I would think that if they put a D-Pad onto a lightgun and you had to use it to move and turn around, I would think it would be quite difficult to use; I just think the old arcade style of just letting the movement done for you and you just shooting at whatever is moving on the screen is pretty much the only way you can do it.

I suppose it would be rather hard to make a gun with a D-pad but maybe they could make it with a button that when pushed you will move and you move the gun in the direction you want to go?

Maybe they could have something like a DDR mat with arrows and your character would move; it would be really hard to make a game like that, maybe in the far future with hybrid consoles they would be able to do it.

Or people can just go out to those Lazer-Zones or Paint balling and socialise in person.

What? Nintento didn't copied anything. Get your facts right. It all started with the Power Glove.

Before you use sarcasm you have to know HOW to use it because apparently you don't know how to use it.

I'm not sure about adding depth, but such controllers would spice up the current 360 FPS's.
