I think it looks fantastic, but I rarely buy fighting games.

Yeeeees and no. Yeah, I'm excited as I've been waiting for a long time. I am also preparing myself for the massive disappointment only remakes of childhood favourites can produce.

The special edition comes with a figure (non possable, Crimson Viper for 360, Ryu for PS3), A comic that has tips and tricks and a SF4 movie. I think thats it.

Neither here nor there. I'm excited to bash it if it does suck, but also hopefull to accept into my childhood remakes that are good section.

Which, by the way, is empty.

How is it a remake?

It has a FOUR on the title.

Well... Yes and no.

On one hand it's a fighting game that will (perhaps) be fun if played with an opponent of equal skill as me.

But on the other hand, it's a game that I'll lose at in the next game competition, because everyone I know is better than me in Street Fighter.

I was, but then it completely fell out of my attention.

I think it will be competant in the genre it's in, like it's always been, but i don't know if it will make any kind of impact on peoples lives.

Of course I'm excited, though I'm excited in a very calm way, partially because I tend to be a very calm individual, but probably because I don't have the money for it. However, I love Street Fighter and I can't wait to kick some ass with the great Ken Masters.

To someone who grew up with Street Fighter 2 then any Street Fighter game seems like a remake of the original e.g. Turbo, Alpha, I didnt play 3 skipped to Ex (I did actually play the original Street Fighter... meh). I'd heard that this one was basically supposed to be like Super Street Fighter II Turbo with fancy graphics and whizzy extras.

Not really excited. It's a fighting game. Whoopie.

Fighting games are only great for those moments when you are in those can't be arsed to concentrate on the game and just mash buttons...

Not really looking forward to it here, I'd rather dig out my old dysfunctional super nes and play alpha 2 than pay $60 for the same game. The only real thing I see different from it seems to be the character design, and by that I mean the fact that all the characters have been taking steroids since the last SF game.

You are thinking about "Super Street Figther II HD Remix".

I'm quite excited since they brought back the cast from II. (With the exception of T. Hawk and DJ; you will be missed... :( ) Oh and it's not another update.

PS. Personally, I'm more excited for King of Fighters XII, but I know it's going to be a while before it gets a release for consoles...

Anyone else getting it for the PC? Maybe we can have a few matches online.... good times.

It's a bit disappointing that they didn't add anyone from Street Fighter 3.

Heh, folks doing that will most likely find themselves in a corner trap.

Actually, the Japanese console release should be out by May and it's not like these games have so much to translate that it'll take ages for it to end up here. Or if you're lucky, you could even import it.

I'm personally looking forward to absorbing fireballs with Rose and other such nice stuff.

SF4 is coming on the PC? I'd be more interested in HD Remix... but this is still worth a "w00t"!

Maybe I'll have to consider buying that Hori RAP3 after all. It's unfortunate how fighters tend to be console exclusives, even more so since every console has demanded unique peripherals, and then there are the stupid region issues. This time around, at least I'd have a superlative PC stick for SF4 + all possible emu play, and it'd also work with PS3 if I eventually pick up one of those.

No. There's not been a decent fighting game since Street Fighter 2 Turbo, this won't change that. You've played 1 beat 'em up you've played them all.

And you know I'm right.

Thanks for the tip. But then again you never know with SNK Playmore, they could take long with this. If all else fails imports work well.

I really can't wait to lay down the law with my Ikari warriors team. (I LOVE Ralf, Clark, and Leona!)

That's nice. If you'd actually PLAY the games they were meant to be played, not button-mash like an idiot, maybe you'd see the differences. Regardless, don't be a troll.

I hope SF4 will become better then SF2 for the SNES. I am really happy they take the time to make a good game instead of buggy game that will be popular for 1 week and then thrown away.

I am indeed looking forward to owning my very own copy of Street Fighter IV. Having already spent some time with it in the arcades I can say that the game plays incredibly smoothly and I've already gotten used to the little mini-cutscenes that occur when you do a Super (think X-Men Verses Street Fighter). I still think the characters looks incredibly goofy, but hey atleast the game looks really good.

So yes, I'm looking forward to it.

Of course! Let's get it on. My friends and I still crack open the SNES to play SFII:Turbo. I play as Vega who looks super sweet in the faux 3D graphics.

My friend, who is a hater, doesn't want the different graphical style but he hated the Transformers movie and it's been on his PSP since it came out. He's a one.

I'm pumped for the game, but still disappointed Microsoft hasn't had the foresight to produce a nice wireless arcade-style controller. We all know that you need a proper joystick and oversized rounded buttons so it feels natural.

I have been sucked into hype regarding it... it will inevitably suck.

Going to give it a go.

You can buy third party aracde controllers that work with 360 and apparently they are making some offical arcade style controllers, even one that's big enough to have two players on it.

I can't wait for this game, I kinda wish I was there when Street Fighter II was so awesome.

I'd be pretty excited if it was going to come out on Wii. The thing is, I only have a PC and a Wii because all games (I care about) come out one or the other. I do in rare cases have to accept that there are games I can't get. This is one of them. I absolutely adore Street Fighter but 1. It doesn't have a fighting chance (get it?) of coming out on the Wii, and 2. I wouldn't get it on PC to save my life.

Do you have any links or sources for this? I've looked into building my own wireless arcade box, but haven't seen any good looking arcade-style controller for 360
