I was just wondering what you guys' favorite after credits bonus/easter egg was. You know, the little rewards that games give you if you sit through the entirety of the credits. Personally, my favorite was the bonus level in CoD4 on the plane. Not only was this level very challenging but it gave you a achievement for beating it on the hardest difficulty (very hard to do).

So, have at it!

First one to come to mind would be Final Fantasy 7, when Nanaki and co. are prowling around the overgrown Midgar.

This is another one of the reasons this series is so awesome - it can laugh at itself so easily.

For what it's worth, I really enjoyed the after-credit moment of Assassin's Creed. It's a shame the modern-day storyline wasn't compelling before it.

My favourite is Final Fantasy VIII, I think.

Crisis Core also has a neat little bit at the end after all the credits, but I won't spoil it for those who haven't beaten it yet. ;)

Also, my least favorite "easter egg" was Halo 3. If i wanted to see the chief take a nap i woulda turned off my console.

There's a bit in Unreal (original) where you're riding along on a canoe or something, and there's a sign in the tunnel saying "Pirates of NaliLand!!"

Aren't those basically the same thing, he sees the walls because of his new vision?

I kind of consider them the same basic plot device.

If I had to seperate them though, I'd have to say Simon getting Eagle Vision. That was unexpected.

I actually thought that Altiar and Simon would become the same person and own in the second one, so eagle vision didn't come as much as a surprise for me.

I can't remember if this bit was before or after the credits but in The Darkness when Jackie sees his girlfriend and she tells him to wake up and you see The Darkness tentacles pull back a bit and then cut to black.

Must have been after the credits cause so many people were complaining about how depressing the ending was even though it hints at Jackie breaking out.

Yeah, it makes sense. So much sense, in fact, that I kind of feel dumb for not predicting it.

I'm hoping that the second can somehow integrate their perfect synchronization into gameplay.

Who's Simon? I thought his name was Desmond?

Anyway, I've always liked the Super Smash Bros. credits.

I don't think it's really a spoiler. AC has been out forever, and it's been known you're not Altair for a quite some time.

Not quite after the credits, but on COD2 the little film that the developers made using the game engine during the credits.

I think Treyarch copied the idea for COD3 and I was expecting something for COD4 too, but an extra level was a much more interesting suprise =D

That was a triumph.

But I just know I'll say what I think and remember a better one as I logout, so I'l say the artwork at the end of Baldur's Gate.

My favourite is the D&D game at the end of Summoner.

I wish more companies would make Easter Eggs like Volition/THQ does.

People! Use spoiler tags or warn for spoilers in your posts. It doesn't matter if a game is 1 month, 1 year or 10 years old.

I'm surprised that the MGS series hasn't been mentioned. They always have a cool twist after the credits.

My personal favorite ending is Halo 2 and 3, precisely because there is none. OK, well, they did make an excuse of a thingy for it, but in the end it's like the thing doesn't exist. I like it because I made fun of it with my friends for years afterward.

My real favorite ending would have to be FFX-2, simply because..well..it feels good seeing a happy ending, and a FINAL ending of sort. Also because it took me almost 4 years to see the ending since I start FFX (I don't have much time to play). All those waiting and anticipating really drove the awesomeness off the chart.

As for Easter Egg, I would have to say Pyro's purse in TF2 is my favorite. I still wonder at the possibility that pyro could be a girl till this day. A sadistic, fat, maniacal girl..

Very much QFT.

Also, the "Hot Coffee," video at the end of Jak 3.

Thank you...so much.
