The MIRV in fallout 3...I mean COME ON! Find all of the tapes...do all of that stuff...and then get to shoot it once because NO ONE has that many mini-nukes... :(

Yes. FF VII: Knights of the Round for the win.

But basically anything that is really hidden in an RPG is impossible to find without a walkthrough. The way I go about any game is to beat it once for fun and by myself, and then play through it again for all the secret stuff (and achievements on 360). That way I can enjoy it without worrying too much about missing things, and I can still see everything that I missed in my initial playthrough.

Cheers.

All the gaps in Tony Hawk Pro Skater.

I didn't know there were so many unlockables in that game

The one secret island level in Golden Sun.

Fierce Deity's Mask was...difficult, to say the least.

Star Ocean: The Second Story

You must climb the looooooong 10 floors of the final dungeon, save at the very last save point in the game, and climb all the way back down, talk to a specific old man in an arena with about 50 people. Don't understand who could actually figure that out without being a game developer or finding it online.

The Terrible Shotgun in Fallout 3

I found that easily without a guide.

In my defence that lovely lady from IGN did a guide to it, the alien blaster and the lincoln repeater before I had the game. I'm happy to let her talk about anything.

Enough said, good sir!

FFXII: all the good weapons were either impossibly rare combinations at that damn bazaar OR a 0.001% chance random treasure chest that could be 1 gil (i hate excalibur)

and FYI: squire ramza is much much stronger than regular squires, he has high stats, unique abilities and can equip pretty much anything

FFXII. There are four chests you musn't open if you want the Zodiac spear (strongest weapon) and there is no indication as to which chests they are.

FFXII. The second strongest weapon requires you to gather large amounts of items then sell them. Then buy the items selling those items gets you then sell those. Without a GUIDE someone would only be able to find out by going around and collecting 99 of every item then selling all of them then repeating the process a DOZEN!!! times.

FFXII. The zodiac spear being aquirable (alternative method) from a chest hidden DEEP in the henne mines. The chance of the chest appearing is 10%, the chance of it having an iterm and not money is 10% and then the chance of the item being the spear is 10%. (needless to say i could not be stuffed getting a spear this way)

FFXII. Finding the rare game Dustia (this one requires a character to be at 10% or less health while in a single area and there are no clues as to where it spawns. (great for early levelling if you do the method right)
