Unfortunately, not a lot of games had proper Z-Buffer support, but I'm hoping that Stereographic (or possibly Holographic) Monitors catch on as a standard, in which case we'll see some true 3D games before too much longer. |

I guess if anyone was going to make a game in 3D nowadays they should do it right, but lately it seems that companies don't even test their games before releasing them. |

Now that you mentioned that, I remember it, but it didn't really make you feel that something was coming out at you from the TV. |

I agree with you, I think if there was to be a new 3D game it should be in the horror genre; it would sure make it a whole lot scarier. I'm sure there might be problems, depends what kind of gameplay the game actually is. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 2169 Joined: 4 Jun 2008 | The Alien games would be great in true 3D, imagine it, you're a marine walking through an abandoned Medlab somewhere and a facehugger leaps up onto your face (as in actually on your face, not just filling up the whole screen) now that...would be freaky. I remember hearing about a vest that you could wear during games that send vibrations to your torso when you're shot/take damage etc., again, in an Alien game this would make it ever more immersive and downright scary (think about it...chestburster?). Just a thought... |

Really the only intresting thing about it is the guy kinda reminds me of HUNK from Resident Evil. May be if you play as the guy it could be good but I have to see the movie before any good ideas come to mind. |

It can be applied retroactively to both Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Wipeout HD, so realistically speaking I think that leaves the door open for everything except Disgaea 3. I didn't say it could work, just that it can be done. User was banned for: Poll: What is your opinion on the Metal Gear Solid storylines?. (Permanent) |

Yeah, and I doubt many people would want to wear 3D glasses for every game they play; I just think it would be better for some games, mostly horror ones that would probably make the game more intense. |

Well I wear my regular glasses for nearly every game I play. User was banned for: Poll: What is your opinion on the Metal Gear Solid storylines?. (Permanent) |

Same here, I think wearing two pairs of glasses at the same time would be irritating too.
That would be quite awesome, and perhaps improved gameplay too would be good; and with the wind effects, just get a friend to watch the game and just have them turn a fan on when ever you're running. |

I've only seen adverts, it is mean to be a violent gore horror I suppose, in 3D. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 2906 Joined: 10 Apr 2008 | I think 3D gaming is lame. I mean, what's so good about looking at a screen with goggles on having it jump out at you - as soon as you move your head the picture skewes in a random direction and crap. 3D gaming is lame; they should just be able to diectly stimulate your brain to make you feel like you're in the game. Though i'd rather they didn't 'cause that'd be freaky. If they did manage to put us into games, I'd like the first games to be adapted to be the Metal Gear Solid series. |

Okay, I've seen a lot of adverts for this new movie, My Bloody Valentine 3D, and for me I think this would be quite an awesome film, just because it's 3D.
Now, since this is a gaming discussion board, what would you people think if they released a video game (of any genre) that could also be in 3D. (Not a game where it's all 3D, you'll be able to turn it on and off whenever you felt like it.)
I only know one video game that had 3D in it, and that was Sqaures Rad Racer in the late 80's for the NES.
