That too. |
Muckraker Posts: 227 Joined: 8 Jan 2009 | There probably isn't going to be any games that I really want this year apart from Street Fighter IV and Final Fantasy XIII. I'll probably just buy a few RPGs that I missed about 2 years ago and have been meaning to buy for quite a while now. |

Muckraker Posts: 341 Joined: 16 Mar 2008 | PS3 owners have Infamous and Killzone 2... I also have hopes for "I Am Alive", even though I know nothing about it. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 2146 Joined: 6 Mar 2008 | There are lots of good games released every year. The ones people look forward to the most are usually the most disappointing anyway (*cough* Fable 2 *cough*). |
Muckraker Posts: 340 Joined: 25 Feb 2008 | I'm looking forward to Resident Evil 5. I'm sure more titles will be revealed soon no doubt |
On the Record Posts: 5360 Joined: 10 Mar 2008 | Okay, didn't everyone think the same thing at the beginning of 2008? Seriously, we still saw few releases in the summer of 2008, and all the titles came around the Holiday Season. Pay attention to history, especially the history that you're a part of! We said the same thing in 2007! |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2495 Joined: 18 Sep 2007 | For me, there's Blood Bowl, Halo Wars, Brutal Legend, Halo 3: ODST right off the top of my head, plus the Fallout 3 DLC. Maybe Mass Effect 2 but it doesn't have an announced release date so that's probably not on for this year. (Not that I'd be disappointed if Bioware decided to surprise me.) I have a nagging feeling I'm forgetting some others. If I had a beefier PC I'd also be interested in Dawn of War 2, Starcraft 2, and maybe Diablo 3... but that's not in the budget. -- Steve |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1453 Joined: 5 Jul 2008 | Crayon Physics Deluxe is being released soon, by the way. Puzzle Quest Galactrix. Trine. Possibly Alan Wake. Also, the Wii is looking surprisingly tempting this year. Adventure and role-playing game palooza. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1194 Joined: 17 Oct 2008 | OP you picked a weird selection of games to make your point, especially since RB and GH will be coming out every year almost untill the end of time. K2, FF, Fat princess will do me just fine, especially since i have a huge collection of games i need to play at some point already |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2402 Joined: 17 Feb 2008 | I've only really been looking at the exclusives recently but there are a couple of really good multi-platform games that will absolutely rock. But bear in mind there are a couple more I haven't mentioned out of laziness. For PS3 Multi-platform Xbox 360 PC EDIT: Duke nuke'm Forever /sarcasm |
Press Junketeer Posts: 428 Joined: 8 Jan 2009 | Resident Evil 5, the promised new Left 4 Dead bits, Aliens: Colonial Marines, watching Duke Nukem Forever get delayed some more or suffer a tanking of Axl Rose proportions. Oh, and anything that isn't the same old crap. |

Agreed. Also, Skate 2? Nobody mentioned Skate 2? |

There is no way that game is coming out in 09, no way. My guess for ME2 would be Q1 or Q2 2010. |

I never played the first Skate, so I can't really comment. User was suspended for: Does New Korean Game Rip Off Team Fortress 2?. (7 days) |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1453 Joined: 5 Jul 2008 | Oh yeah, Bioware's Dragon Age is coming out this year too. I almost completely had forgotten about it. |
Paperboy Posts: 48 Joined: 11 May 2008 | Prototype and FFXIII seem to be my top picks for this year. I think im going to stay away from getting stuff this year and let the releases pile up so I have an awesome 2010. In the meantime 2d RPGS. BTW, Skate 2 does look good, ill probably play the demo. |

Press Junketeer Posts: 408 Joined: 27 Sep 2008 | MadWorld. How could people not remember MadWorld. You know, the game where Marv from Sin City sticks signposts through people's SKULLS?!? |
Beat Writer Posts: 196 Joined: 2 Aug 2008 | Brutal Legends, and that's about it. I wasn't really expecting much from '08 in the beginning though, and look what it churned out! |

Damn straight. I gots to have me a current-gen Shin-Shoryuken. |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 770 Joined: 5 Jul 2008 | Resident evil 5 sounds good, and I'll second LOTR Conquest. Also, a game called Dante's inferno is coming out. Apparently it took a few liberties with the book, but since the book was one of my favorites, I will probably check it out. Also, although 08' had some disappointments, 2009 could be a year for quality alone, with every anticipated game being pure gold. |

I'm looking forward to Skate 2. EA Black Box did a real good job with the first, so I'm hoping the second will be just as good as the first. That, and Halo Wars. Please do a good job Ensemble. I'd be sad to see you leave on a bad note. |

Oops, I forgot! Excluding that, of course. Halo Recon or whatever it is could either be good or suck really hard |

2008 was one of the biggest years in gaming; Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Army of Two, Fallout 3, Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto 4 and loads more of highly-anticipated titles have come and gone. But now, looking ahead, there's not much to wait for in 2009. I can think of only three games off the top of my head: Prototype, Brutal Legend, and Lord of The Rings: Conquest. Other then that, it seems like 2009's gonna be a pretty empty year for gaming. Do any of you guys know any games coming out this year that look like they're worth it?
