Yeah and I have beaten the original 9. I do too but please lay him to rest. |
Muckraker Posts: 297 Joined: 14 Aug 2008 | HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Might as well ask when Mario is going to get shuffled off to that great pipe field in the sky, or when Samus is finally going to be able take off the suit for good, and not just a gimmick...or maybe Link will finally stick a sword in Ganondorf's head that'll STAY stuck for once... Did the recent Sonic debacle teach you nothing? Silly boy... |

Considering you seem to have fallen for buying the next iteration of MegaMan, despite being annoyed by its repetitiveness...I'd say never. |

Paperboy Posts: 48 Joined: 11 May 2008 | 9 was awesome, just stop the Battle Network series and everything is cool, Starforce or whatever as its being called now. Not enough of the old school 2d platformers. |

That was when I was 5. After that never again. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1424 Joined: 2 Mar 2008 | Never, seeing as their are... 4 of them (Megaman, X, Battle Network, Legends), the MMZ series, and the MMZX series, for a total of 6 seperate series. And, mostly, they are all awesome. Also, it's usually not a good idea to pimp your own forum topics in other forum topics you make. Makes it seem like you're badge whoring. Just sayin'. |

Then again, he could always "hide himself to repair himself." In all seriousness, though, they should make Mega Man X9 already. X8 came out around the same time as Halo 2, I believe. And they waited 10 bloody years after the release of Mega Man 8 to make 9. |

I mostly agree, but I still think Mega Man 9 is the shining example of how to continue an IP. These new-fangled megamans, not so much (though I've heard X6 was pretty good, I'm not at all interested in finding out). There were a lot of flops in the series, and some good games as well, but even though he's been around about as long as Mario, I still don't feel quite the same as I do with mario, mostly because of the fact that the games I've played never became 20 hour adventures, instead they remained at 2 hours or less to play through and always felt like when they got it right, it was RIGHT. |

How about instead of making threads that refer to similar threads you've created you just make one thread? maybe something along the lines of :"game franchises past their prime" but that one would beg flaming to use the search button. I give you credit, I legitimately thought you were not a troll for a minute there. |

Then I don't see why. I mean as long as the games are quality then it shouldn't matter if they make so many games with him. It's not like you can exhaust him from putting him into to many games. Other characters like Sonic who's games have been lackluster diverse to be laid to rest. |

After over 15 years the blue bomber is still alive! I really wish that Capcom will lay the poor soul to rest. Yet every few years here comes the zombiefyed corpse of Dr.Lights perfect creation. For the love of God Capcom put a bullet in his head already!
