When will Megaman die?

After over 15 years the blue bomber is still alive! I really wish that Capcom will lay the poor soul to rest. Yet every few years here comes the zombiefyed corpse of Dr.Lights perfect creation. For the love of God Capcom put a bullet in his head already!

Hey.. I really like Megaman

I wish the same for Sonic and LoZ (unless they re-tool it immediately). Sometimes you just have to let a character die, the problem is that devs never seem to realize when that is.

Yeah and I have beaten the original 9. I do too but please lay him to rest.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Might as well ask when Mario is going to get shuffled off to that great pipe field in the sky, or when Samus is finally going to be able take off the suit for good, and not just a gimmick...or maybe Link will finally stick a sword in Ganondorf's head that'll STAY stuck for once...

Did the recent Sonic debacle teach you nothing? Silly boy...

Read my other forum "Is Mario done for."

Yeah and I have beaten the original 9.

Considering you seem to have fallen for buying the next iteration of MegaMan, despite being annoyed by its repetitiveness...I'd say never.

soon...I hope

Whenever he runs out of lives, which is probably soon they can only recreate the same games twice per console so I think were done with the blue bomber till 2015

9 was awesome, just stop the Battle Network series and everything is cool, Starforce or whatever as its being called now.

Not enough of the old school 2d platformers.

That was when I was 5. After that never again.

How long till the "When will Half-Life die?" thread?

Never, seeing as their are... 4 of them (Megaman, X, Battle Network, Legends), the MMZ series, and the MMZX series, for a total of 6 seperate series. And, mostly, they are all awesome.

Also, it's usually not a good idea to pimp your own forum topics in other forum topics you make. Makes it seem like you're badge whoring. Just sayin'.

When he lands on a spike trap for the umpteenth million time.

When Dr. Wily kills him.

When he touches a spike. [/facetiousness] EDIT: Ninja'd!

Well, they seemed to have ended the Zero series, what with Zero's death and all. Then again, he could always "hide himself to repair himself."

In all seriousness, though, they should make Mega Man X9 already. X8 came out around the same time as Halo 2, I believe.

And they waited 10 bloody years after the release of Mega Man 8 to make 9.

Just the original Megaman series.

I mostly agree, but I still think Mega Man 9 is the shining example of how to continue an IP. These new-fangled megamans, not so much (though I've heard X6 was pretty good, I'm not at all interested in finding out). There were a lot of flops in the series, and some good games as well, but even though he's been around about as long as Mario, I still don't feel quite the same as I do with mario, mostly because of the fact that the games I've played never became 20 hour adventures, instead they remained at 2 hours or less to play through and always felt like when they got it right, it was RIGHT.

Slightly after Sonic does

Jump down a pit... Duh. *Buh Da Dish*

Like all good selling franchises there is no reason to end something if it makes money and is still quite popular. This can be applied to games, books, movies, ect.. it doesn't matter. If it continues to draw new players in and entertain many there is no reason why it should end. The veteran players are simply being selfish the way i see it, just because it seems old and stale for them. They overlook the fact that in this industry you must draw in new players of all ages and of the sort. Yes some franchises should end before they over due it but others are simply too versatile that they can keep making more. Once something stops making money THEN there is no reason to continue it unless you practically reinvent it. I am really getting sick of people complaining about long and well established franchises just because they "grew out of them" while others still enjoy and it continues to bring in to fans.

Now stop with this foolishness

I remember watching the megaman animu. That didn't really improve its standing with me.
Plus the fuckhard originals permanently tainted my opinion of him.

not now...but soon

How about instead of making threads that refer to similar threads you've created you just make one thread? maybe something along the lines of :"game franchises past their prime" but that one would beg flaming to use the search button.

I give you credit, I legitimately thought you were not a troll for a minute there.

Every single time you make one of these threads you get a visit from the Daigenguar.

For the sake of living I suggest you stop.

Then I don't see why. I mean as long as the games are quality then it shouldn't matter if they make so many games with him. It's not like you can exhaust him from putting him into to many games. Other characters like Sonic who's games have been lackluster diverse to be laid to rest.
