well, had you just been patient and waited like the rest of us you wouldn't have wasted all that money.

I already waited patiently for a long time for the game to finally be completed. Then when it's finished, they release it in Japan and USA but put Europe in some kind of three month localization queue! I still don't understand how Nintendo could pull a stunt like that with SSBB of all games, for me it was the Wii game I was looking forward to more than any other game, and I don't think I was the only one.
Besides, I honestly did not expect they would block the converter. A converter seems pretty harmless to me, I still paid for the game after all. But ok.

i thought that converters were blocked right from the beginning. Nintendo were gits for making us wait so long for the game so i suppose if you bout a wii purely for that game and were then told you have to wait 3-4 months longer than everyone else because of it needing to be translated then maybe i can see why you got an imported copy. did it have anything to do with GAME TRADERS ROBINA and take it to YOUR FRIEND GUY'S HOUSE...i really need to get out more. i got my copy in October, haven't played it for a while. online battles are great fun.

If you have a big TV you can do a lot worse for real party games than picking up the following:

Dreamcast
4 Controllers
Choo Choo Rocket
Power Stone 2
Samba de Amigo
Vigilante 8 Second Offensive
Dead or Alive (2 teams of 2 tag team fighting)

Well, some cool 4-player games would be nice, on the Wii I only have Brawl (and Wii Sports and Wii Play and such, but they're rather meh), and for the Xbox 360 there are mostly just one and two player games. (I didn't even bother to buy a third controller.) But after quickly checking eBay I estimate the things you listed would cost 300 euro or so. Ah, I think I'll just stick to Bomberman, that's always fun.

Check this out: Not a bad deal!

My favourite character is Yoshi. He's well cute, and it really pisses everyone off when you turn them all into eggs and they can't move for a few seconds.

Oh no, they worked fine at first, at least mine (Free Loader) did. But then Nintendo disabled them, curiously about two weeks before the European release, almost as if to say "well, you had your fun, but now be a nice little consumer and go buy the European version at launch as well, ok?".

Yes! Thank you.

heh, yes, ZP is funny.

Online was ok, but in another strange Nintendoesque move they removed all means of communicating with other players.

Which might have saved Mario Kart Wii from mediocrity. But alas.

Well, that all depends on what the other people will bid eh. That's both the beauty and the downside of eBay. Besides, I generally don't buy stuff from other countries on eBay, even with a positive seller feedback score I think it's just too risky.

At least in Mario Kart you could see who you were racing against, and where they were from. SSBB doesn't even have that. Completely silent and anonymous. One of the things I don't like and don't understand about SSBB.

Fair enough! Right this minute I'm organising a Dreamcast night with my mates. Powerstone is one of those games that's easy to pick up but never gets old.

A - Jump
B - Throw/Interact
X - Pick up/use/punch
Y - Discard
A + Y - Jump Kick (known as the 'kick to the stones' move)
---3 Power Stone transformation---
Triggers - Super awesome mega death attack

Best gameplay vid I could find. Kicks off about the 45 second mark!

Hm, you know what it really reminds me of? Shrek Super Slam. But don't get that game, it's not good. Power Stone 2 looks like fun though. Oh well.

it would have been better if there was some info about who you were fighting. it doesn't have to be their life story but a name (even a pseudonym) or where they are would be nice. connecting a microphone and talking to each other would be amazing, such a shame they didn't put that in

They should do a Power Stone 3 for the modern consoles. It'd be perfect for 360 smack talking.

Yes, even if you could only see a three or four letter name for each player, that would at least allow you to notice it when you're fighting someone again that you met before. As for voice chat, I don't think that's in any Wii game until the recently released Animal Crossing.

Well, if they ever do release a Power Stone 3 I'll be sure to check it out.

My favorite character? To quote the game, I like Ike, but my FAVORITE is Wolf.

Up until I unlocked Wolf, Fox was my favorite character.

But Wolf is just so much more entertaining to unleash on people, plus people bitch for less time since his Final Smash doesn't last as long :P

meh I actually hate this game since it's power stone with nintendo characters and hyped up to the point where Evo fans are gagging from the energy drinks they've consumed. I get around with snake and falcon since my nephew needs company.

rossatdi we should Ad-hoc with power-stone collection sometime.

In Melee my favorite was Link, but then since they slowed him down so much (along with everyone else) I switched to Toon Link and Sonic. I'm also decent with Lucario especially since I recently found out his counter attack (B+Down) can block some Final Smashes.

I usually main Sonic, though I switch it up with Lucas, Link and getting used to Peach and Zelda (lolwtf frying pan).

Still, I think I own the record for the most stupid deaths on my wii. XD;;;

No character will ever be as good as Dr. Mario IMO.

Sure, he isn't too different from normal Mario, but he's a bit slower/heavier and his attacks have slightly longer reach.

Roy SHOULD have been in Brawl. But if I had to pick from the "new" list I'd roll with Samus.

Yeah, I miss Dr. Mario and Roy too. I was kind of hoping every character from Melee would be included in Brawl, just like every character from the first Super Smash Bros. was included in Melee, but alas.

And his Fair is a lot better, too. I'll also gladly admit that his pills are overpowered. If you know how to pill correctly, you can have people up to 70, 80 percent before they even realise it. Really, the only true downside I've found is that his cape sucks as a recovery move, compared to Mario's.

My favourites are Meta Knight, who I am very good at playing now, and Toon Link, who I am getting better at. Between those 2, I have won a lot of battles, and I definately enjoy their special moves, but not so much their final smashes.

Donkey Kong.
I absolutely LOVE grabbing players and jumping off the stage and I would not play any other way.

When playing competitively, I usually go with Mario.

For friendlies, I do alright with Ganondorf or Bowser. Lucas, if I'm feeling gutsy.

My friends and I rarely play with items turned on, but when we do, there are three Final Smashes that I enjoy.

Giga Bowser: It's not that it's such a powerful form, it's that it makes it easier to suicide kill because he's so huge.

Falco's Landmaster: Try as they might, my friends have never been able to avoid losing less than two stocks to this bad boy, mostly because they can't figure out how to get off the top of the Landmaster before I fly them out of the stage.

Great Aether: It's the move I lost that Gamestop midnight launch tournament to, so it's got special significance for me. Also, it's fun to watch my friends squrim and run when I get the Smash Ball.
