Call of Duty 4 is really good. I'll name exclusives though.
Ninja Gaiden 2. If you can get over the insane difficulty at some parts.
The Gears series.
Dead Rising.
The Orange Box. The best gaming deal ever.

I like Bioshock but its not an exclusive title to the 360.

I don't know really this generation has thrown up alot of really good multiplatform games, most these games end up on the PC anyway but if we're talking about gaming consoles well I'd go for Left 4 Dead due to replayabilty and the social side of it all.

If the question was what game that was ON the 360 was good then Fallout 3 hands down followed by Gears 2 then Call of Duty a trinity of excellent games that seemed to entertain me and were a joy to play.

Fallout three, DMC4 (if smashy shamhy nonsense is your thing), Gears one and Two, Fable 2, Saints row Two and Left 4 Dead. ANd i still dont understand where all the mass effect love comes from, i usually love story driven RPGS btw i honestly couldnt get past the linear stage, once i got to the planets i got bored and gave up in favour of GOW2

Thanks guys, I'll probably end up picking up both gears and if I'm not 100% broke, Saint's Row 2. DMC4 isn't so much my thing after getting through DMC3 with only one controller surviving, and 360 controllers cost more than PS2 ones.

Bioshock-One of the most immersive games I've ever play.

Mass Effect-Really great RPG

Left 4 Dead-A really intense gaming experience which will make you swear like a f*%$er

Call of Duty 4-Really great game single player game with a decent multiplayer conponent

The Orange Box-Best deal in gaming ever, 5 big title games in one box for the price of one. Much better on the PC it has to be said but still deffintly worth a look. Even if you don't get it, for whatever crazy reason, buy Portal on the xbox live arcade, as its a piece of genius.

You may also want to check out a few xbox origanals on the marketplace or from a bargain bin, buy Psyconauts and Prince of Persia: SoT if you can get your hands on them.

There also some great aracade titles. I've already mentioned Portal, but theres also Castle Crashers, a multiplayer aracade game with a very cartoony look and flatulant woodlend creatures. OH and my god, please do get Braid! Much like Portal, its a work of genius.

I recommend Gears 2. Horde mode threatens to beat out Twisted Metal 2 in my "games that me and my friends played for years" list.

Mass Effect, obviously.

And for the record, I thought Halo 3 was shit. Loved the first one. Played 3 once, and haven't touched it since.

My personal favourites are:

1. Mass Effect
2. Bioshock
3. Gears of War 1+2
4. Lost Odyssey
5. Fallout 3

Except Lost Odyssey, I completely agree. Don't forget Left 4 Dead.

Lol, I played Lost Odyssey, it was not bad untill I got to the damned Energy snake thing. But it you replace Lost Odyssey with Left 4 Dead, then move it down a notch, and put Soul Caliber 4 in its place, replaced gears of war with LOTR BFME 2 and but a big shiny star next to Mass Effect with a teachers stamp that says "Good Job!" next to it thats my list :P

1. Mass Effect * Good Job!
2. Bioshock
3. LORT BMFE 2
4. Sould Caliber 4
5. Left 4 Dead

The orange box(Portal if a single game)

Portal is a single game. You can just download it through the Xbox Live Arcade.

I was wondering what you guys considered to be the best games on the 360 (doesn't matter the genre). I just got one over Christmas and was wondering what game to buy. Just please no Halo, I was never a really big fan. Thanks!

Project Gotham Racing 3 (not dull)
Far Cry 2 (awesome, despite its flaws)

Well if it's exclusives we're talking about I'd have to go with Mass Effect with Tales of Vesperia coming in a close second (yes I LOVE that game and I like JRPG's).

1. Oblivion game of the year edition (played it 14 times and fell in love with Elder Scrolls lore)
2. Fallout 3 (while it lacked the lore of Elder Scrolls in terms of gameplay it was the better game)
3. Left 4 Dead (for me lag just didnt exist which was amazing)
4. Shadowrun (it wasnt the most famous game but i thought it was great for trying something new)
5. Bio Shock (the story and acting was amazing showing that games can match films at story)

I don't think I'm going to add much to this but I'd recommend:
Bioshock- Immersive. Unique setting.
Fallout 3- I got 70 hours plus out of it. Well worth the money.
Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise- Definitive VP experience. Seriously relaxing IMO.
Gears Of War 2- I loved the co-op campaign, and Horde is a tonne of fun.
Crackdown- Older, but still a heap of fun. Probably really cheap now.

not in order just randomly throwing them out
-gears of war 1+2
-bioshock
-the darkness
-ninja gaiden 2
-cod 4+5(although I preffer cod 4)
-fallout 3
I was going to say left 4 dead and viva piņata but I don'w owe them, but I've been told they're really cool

EDIT: sorry I forgot, assasins/asassins creed is kinda cool

I would say Halo 3, but that has been arbitrarily deemed ineligible. Ah, well. Such is the Internet.

Is Fallout better on PC or 360? I've been hearing mixed stories of one being buggier than the other. I think I'm already picking up Bioshock for PS3.

I got mine for the 360. I haven't run into very many bugs at all, so it's definitely good, don't get me wrong. But they made the GECK for the PC version and you can cheat. Playing on the console is probably easier, but it just depends if you think you would want to use the GECK or not.

The Orange Box!

Ironically, I don't have it, but its just so much in one box.

Wonder if Team Fortress 2 is still going strong though.......

You know, Halo was not that bad. It wasn't a revolution but it was a good FPS, the only reason it isn't that great is because fanboys over hyped and over killed it
