Muckraker Posts: 302 Joined: 2 Jun 2008 | I'd have to go with Valve. I have yet to be disappointed with anything they've done. Epic would probably be second, although that's mostly nostalgia. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1653 Joined: 2 Nov 2008 | This is BLASPHEMY! Where's Blizzard? Or Nexon? edit: Nexon's a money grubbing troll of a company, the EA of Asia if I might say so myself. However, I think they're too big to ignore anyway. My vote goes to Blizzard! |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 3314 Joined: 10 Oct 2008 | Yah, no Blizzard? Star Dock? There is a lot to be desired about that list! |
Copy Clerk Posts: 77 Joined: 24 Nov 2008 | What game has Valve created that has ever let it's fans down? Seriously. There's no answer to that |
Paperboy Posts: 20 Joined: 31 Mar 2008 | My top 3 go Nintendo, Valve, Blizzard. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2351 Joined: 21 Aug 2008 | seriously wheres blizzard, I don't care about WoW but the diablo, warcraft(RTS) and starcraft franchises are some of the best in the world. But a close second for me(also not on the list) is Namco, for Pac-man, Galaxia, and my all time favorite game tales of Symphonia. Also when they became Namco-Bandai for the Soul Caliber series. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1850 Joined: 31 Oct 2007 | Yeah this isn't really one of those topics that needs to be a poll, since there's a million different developers. Although, with that said, Valve did get my vote. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 107 Joined: 3 Oct 2007 | Origin, Bullfrog, Westwood... all former EA city-states. Not that they make games anymore, and a large part of the reason is that EA ran them into the ground. Still, since it's the only option that sort of encompasses those companies... I might as well vote for it. You'll all know the one voter for that option had a good reason, at least. Besides, EA put out Fight Night, so I wouldn't really mind voting for them, anyhow. |

This gets me. Why would you even make a poll knowing that it wouldn't be complete and that there is a very likely possibility that people would have responses that don't correspond to the options you've put down. My number one criticism for including polls with questions like that. The list is fairly random to top it off, it's not the largest 8 developers, its not the most successful 8 developers, nor is it the 8 developers with the most games on the market (No Blizzard, No Sega, etc.) Given that Blizzard developed one of the most played and purchased games in history, it should be on the list, and Radical is a developer releasing one of the most anticipated games for 2009, it should be on the list. and the cavalier attitude towards EA (i.e. not really considering the EA development brand) should take BioWare (rightfully known as BioWare EA) off the list. But now I'm being glib. Point being: no polls to open ended questions like this. |

Maybe before that Star Wars crap when they still made good adventure games, they are just useless fucks now. Shame Relic isn't on the list. User was banned for: Poll: Round 4 - North: (1) Turbine vs (2) Valve. (Permanent) |

Gotta agree with you both, I love Valve, Bioware, and Ubisoft. Tough choice.
well, to be fair, you can count how many non-mod games they've made on your fingers. |

Hello,
This has probably been done many times before, but who is your favorite software developer? I know that my list is not complete, so if you have someone not on the list post it. My favorite developers are Valve and Bioware.
