What are some of the worst or funniest cutscenes you can remember when a game was trying to be serious? It could be because of glitches, camera angles, bad gameplay/story, or just bad voice acting? For the dejanazi's: I think there's a topic on just general scenes, but nothing on drama.

this is hilarious, considering the voice actor hit puberty during his emotional scene.

It truly is awful, the unlikeable ass of a protagonist has Eminem levels of tourettes and it's even worse to play. Most broken control scheme I've ever handled. Not fun trying to swing a flaming chair into a demon with the right stick.

It's not that bad, I liked it. And honestly he doesn't swear as much as people say. The control scheme, whilst fiddly, is not broken either. I managed to complete the game with it. If it was TRULY broken it would be literally unplayable. Not unplayable as in "I don't like this so won't play it."

The OP probably should have called this thread, "Capcom's cutscenes are side-splittingly ridiculous." Whether it's Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, or Lost Planet, it seems they've lost something in the translation. (We probably should keep our gaffaws down though, lest Capcom deny us the gaming excellence that is outside the cutscenes.)

i don't think i've ever been more humiliated

I can't remember the game. It was from a german company about vampires. There was a roof scene where I'm learning about other vampires that exist when suddenly the girl runs away and jumps off the roof while the dialogue is still playing and is fighting bad guys on the ground.

Jean Reno crying out his son's name about 10 000 times during the ending of Onimusha 3 was cringeworthy as well...oh wait, that's another Capcom one, isn't it?:)

(Bonus points however for the way he dispatched the snivelling little villain sidekick with that whip of his...even though it wasn't that graphical, I always got the impression that he basically flayed him. Pretty badass.)

Probably every emotional moment in every JRPG. They are always cringe-worthy. I can't even think of individual ones because they all meld into each other with cheesy abandon.

How about Otacon's 20 minute breakdown in Metal Gear Solid 2? I mean sure, it was meant to be sad but at about the point where he started going on about sleeping with Emma's mom, I actually started laughing and saying. Then I got kind of annoyed, like "I was told there was a game somewhere."

Gotta love Hideo Kojima. Why use 10 words when 1000 will do just fine...

Totally. I remember that I was yelling at my TV to grow a pair and shut-up.

Oh god, did anyone else play Lost Odyssey? Well that one had a scene where you meet up with your long lost love and the horrible dialog combined with your lover's ridiculously low cut dress ruined that game for me.

That was pretty much the only thing that I didn't like about the DOW games, the chaos and eldar voice acting made me cringe.
