I hate Cell but do tell the story behind this new adventure of Mr. Fisher.

I've played a few of the others, but I don't know that this makes the short list of games to buy. Maybe a rental.

Honestly, I've loved the series until Double-Agent, and this one does not look like it's going to be any better. It's a damn shame.

I thought Double Agent was pretty fun. They at least tried something different with the trust meter. Nothing is better than Chaos Theory however. When the new one comes out, I'll definitely give it a whirl.

Chaos Theory was the best. But without all the wacky "in your ear" support characters it is a lot less fun. I still miss Anna grimsdottir

I know. I and many others still hold up Chaos Theory as the pinnacle of the series, because the gameplay was still the addictive gameplay of the original with a lot of new innovations that don't hamper that, like the sound meter. Ubisoft doesn't seem to get that we want a stealth game to be all stealth, as evidenced by a good portion of DA. Also, Conviction looks like its going to be crowd stealth, which is fine for some games, but not a series who's whole trademark is light/dark stealth.

I don't really like stealth but DA was fairly good...for a stealth game...that's a little unfair as MGS is one of my favorite series...but it doesn't really require hardcore stealth all of the time...

That's the problem for us fans of the series. It took the previous games' conventions and acquired wisdom and shat on them. Seriously, they took out everything anyone ever liked about the series. What happened to my light meter goddammit?!

Aw, Chaos Theory! Now that was a fuckin' game! Sheer stealthy perfection. No Solid Snake is getting the jump on Fisher.

As for Conviction... myeh. We'll see. The crowd system seems like they just gipped it straight out of Assassin's Creed and stuffed it into the nearest game they could find. And where is Fisher's stealth suit?

Nowhere to be found. Don't get me wrong, I've always hated people who bitched about their favorite series being changed in any way, but this is too much. They're taking out the very things that made the original, Chaos Theory, and hell, even Pandora Tomorrow great!

We all were. Then, in playing through the SC games one by one, we got used to the idea of stealth, the common principles, patience, all of that. And DA just got rid of that. Sorry, I'm just ranting now, I'll stop.

I've never liked splinter cell. I always felt that James Bond in it prime (no cookie for guessing which game I'm referring to) was batter the SC in its prime.

That being said Special Agent Bob and Secret Agent Steve were hilarious. Except they would never come back because they were too funny.

This isn't for me. I've tried some of the other games, and I just don't get the mechanics of it.
