Have you ever said to yourself "If I had a level 80 toon, I could own all of these guys in PvP!" Well, now is your chance. Blizzard has been kind enough to grant us with two (2) Arena Tournament passes to give away. Obtaining one of these passes grants you access to a special server where you get to create a premade level 80 character with PvP gear, enter the Arena Tournament, and eventually compete to win $100,000 (and other in-game stuff - a special Armored Baby Murloc pet and "The Vanquisher" title!).

The rules for entry are simple:

  • You must already own the latest version of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, and have an active account in good standing.
  • You must be ready to play by next Tuesday, March 24th - this includes finding and joining an arena team.
  • You must be a registered member of The Escapist or the WarCry Network. To sign up, CLICK HERE.

This is a limited-time contest. Entries submitted after 9:00 AM EDT on Friday, March 20th will be disqualified. Winners will be chosen in the morning on Friday the 20th, and contacted at the email associated with their Escapist / WarCry account. If you are one of the winners, you will need to respond to these emails ASAP to accept the prize.

You can enter the contest here!

I meet all of the requirements, but I suck at PvP, so I'll let someone who knows what their doing take over.

Bloody hell, I must get my jocks up to scratch!

Too bad warriors are completely underpowered in PvP.

I could always just play a hunter and kite them to death... hrm...

This looks fun but I don't own WoW...
I'm not a big fan of paying monthly subscriptions for a game. But that's just me.

Hmm. I would be interested in having a pre-made for PVP but I quit WoW ages ago and don't have an account anymore. Nor WotLK, for that matter.

Couldn't we just let some WoW players compete against some CoD4 or U3 players in a deathmatch? Then we see a lovely test of 'pvp'. [/FPS superiority smugness]

The only part that bites me here is the 'need to be in an arena team' I tend to not work well with arena teams.

Hurr, Mages can be good in PvP when they aren't dying every five seconds. It's best to defend when you play a mage, if you attack you end up getting raped. Although a Mage can be unstoppable 1 on 1, when faced with more than 1 enemy, you're doomed.

Without starting this particular argument, they are entirely different skill-sets. It would be like making a basketball player go one-on-one with a chess grandmaster. By the same token as we 'WoW Pvp'ers' would supposedly suck at Quake, i'm dubious about your ability to win any battleground, let alone arena match. It comes down to what you place value in.

Besides, who says people can't be good at both? I'd be willing to bet ultrabucks i could skin you on WoW, TF2, and Dawn of War all in one night. But like i said, let's not start this debate.

Well I have sunk all my money in the game into a totally pimped out level 80 warrior, now we can-wait PvP? Aw shit! Why do you mock me Blizzard/The Escapist, why? I could make a DK....

You could almost certainly beat me at Dawn of War, I'm awful at RTSs. I never really got into TF2 but I'm willing to put balls in the blender when it comes to CoD4 deathmatch.
