Nintendo has announced its Summer 2010 Wii Games, which are kind of like the Olympics but with waggling a game controller instead of grueling tests of athleticism.
Say what you want about Nintendo's strategy for online gaming this generation (hint: it sucks), but the Wii does make for some very entertaining offline multiplayer, particularly when people are inebriated. There may not be alcohol involved, but Nintendo will be taking full advantage of the Wii's party-friendly multiplayer with a fierce US-wide competition this summer.
The Wii Games Summer 2010 asks gamers to assemble a team of friends and family members to compete in cities around the United States in the hopes of winning a trip to the final round in Los Angeles. Events will be held around the country, and feature five minigames from four games.
Better start practicing your Wii Hula Hooping right this second, guys.
