GRID 2 Deal, FF14 Preorder, 8th Humble Bundle

| 28 May 2013 16:25

Release day deal plus a new batch of games from Humble Indie Bundle 8 (now with Steam keys!) makes for a great start to everyone's Tuesday.

The June 4, 2008 release of CodeMaster's original GRID feels like ancient history. Today its sequel GRID 2 launches in North America and will launch May 31st for the rest of the globe. Green Man Gaming's 20% off coupon code knocks the PC download price down to $40 in the US (£20.25 in the UK). If that's not low enough, you can try the Germany-based retailer GamesRocket for $34.99 US (or €26.95). However, there's a chance you'll have to wait a few days for your Steam key - the game is still listed as a preorder on the site.

GamesRocket also has a pretty solid price on the PC download of Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition. At $7.95 (€6.49 or £5.49), it's the lowest price we've ever seen for the game, and quite a bit cheaper than the $19.99 you'll pay on Steam or anywhere else. The Ultimate Edition includes the base New Vegas game and all DLC packs.

Last Thursday, Square Enix announced an August 27th release date for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Current PC owners of FF XIV will be able to download Realm Reborn for free, while new users can also take advantage of lower list prices for both PC and PS3 versions. The best preorder deal so far is at Green Man Gaming for $24 after coupon. The Standard Edition preorder comes with early access to the game's servers, a Mog cap, and a Cait Sith Doll Minion as a party pet. For $24 more, the Digital Deluxe Edition gets additional in-game goodies - the Helm of Light, Baby Behemoth Minion, Coeurl Mount, and Behemoth Barding Armor for your Chocobo.

Just launched today, the 8th Humble Indie Bundle is now out. Pay what you want (minimum $1) for Little Inferno, Awesomenauts, Capsized, Thomas Was Alone, Dear Esther. If you beat the average payment ($5.67 at the time of writing) you'll get two additional games: Hotline Miami, and Proteus. All games are DRM free or if you there's an option get Steam keys. Sale ends June 12th.
