Pre-order the game and get an in-game bonus. Wait for release day and get a real-life price break. Huh?
Boy, it's a good thing you pre-ordered Call of Duty: Ghosts and got your $10 bonus credit from Best Buy. Yeah, Call of Duty games are so popular that there'll never be another deal like that for awhile, right?
Nope. There is already a 25% off deal available on release day for Call of Duty: Ghosts (for the 360, PS3, and Wii U). Way to make certain people feel like a sucker, eh?
The game is discounted to $44.99 on NewEgg's eBay page (while staying at the full $59.99 on NewEgg's own site). Before you ask, no, you don't get the pre-order bonus maps in this deal. Just straight-up cash savings, baby. You'll have to add-to-cart to see the price, and this is probably how NewEgg is circumventing publisher MSRP rules.
We got word that there are 15,000 units of Ghosts available on sale for the three current-gen console platforms, but no specifics on how how many units per platform. It's likely Xbox 360 copies will sell out faster than PS3, simply because there are more Xbox 360 owners out there. Considering every other retailer is at the full $59.99 MSRP on release day, it's also unlikely this deal will last very long.
PC gamers can grab the Steam-activated deal at GMG for $48.00 with a 20% off coupon. It's a bit rare for a PC digital title to be more expensive than on console. But then again, it's rare for there to be a console deal on an AAA title's release day, too.
If your FPS of choice is last week's release of Battlefield 4, now's a good time to grab the Premium Edition at a discount. The Origin key is 20% off after coupon, dropping the price from $49.99 to $40. The first DLC pack is called "China Rising" (which was a freebie bonus in pre-orders) and becomes available in early December.
